History
Unlike most of the other regions of Elibe, the south western Nabata Desert is not home to a great history, with the exception of one small area. The village of Arcadia, located deep within the dunes, is home to the greatest secret in all of Elibe. The village, founded years before the Scouring, is home to both humans and dragons. Unlike the rest of Elibe which shunned dragon kind, the people of Arcadia embraced each other in peace and love. Years later, the Archsage Athos and the Druid Nergal arrived at the village and spent years studying the secrets of the dragons. After years of study Nergal went mad with his plan to reopen the Dragon's Gate, and Athos and the villagers joined forces to expel him. After Nergal was banished, Arcadia was moved to a different location in the desert, and went undisturbed for centuries.
People
One of the legendary Eight Generals, Athos played a prominent role in sealing away the Dark Dragon Idenn. After defeating the dragon, Athos traveled around Elibe looking to gain greater knowledge. As he traveled, he met a young Nergal and the two men became firm friends. As they traveled, they stumbled upon the village of Arcadia, and Athos began his studies. After he cast the demented Nergal out of the village, Athos relocated Arcadia into a nearby temple, and he continued his studies. Centuries later Lord Pent of Etruria arrived at the village, and Athos took him in as an apprentice. He then assisted Lord Eliwood in his quest against Nergal, and finished Nergal once and for all. A few years later Athos traveled to a foreign land and passed away in peace.
The last of the Divine Dragons, Fa lives in the sanctuary of Arcadia. During the Black Fang incident, Fa gave Eliwood's army advice on how to find treasure hidden in the desert. Years later, Fa helped Lord Roy and his army fight against the Bern army. After Idenn was defeated, Fa helped her recover her stolen humanity.
A shaman from Nabata, Sofyia has the blood of dragons in her veins. During the war with Bern, the Bern army attacked Arcadia and Sofyia was taken to a prison in Eturia. At the prison, she met General Cecilia and healed her wounds from battle. After being freed, she helped Roy find the powerful Forblaze tome hidden in Athos' tomb in Arcadia. After that, she continued traveling with Roy on his quest against the Bern army.
A powerful warrior from the desert, he is known as the "Guardian of the Desert". When Lord Eliwood and his party entered the desert, Athos ordered Hawkeye to bring them to safety, and to rout the bandits causing trouble. After Hawkeye completed his mission, he joined Eliwood's party, knowing that the fate of the world was stake. After Nergal's defeat, Hawkeye returned to the desert and taught his daughter on how to become the next guardian.
The daughter of Hawkeye, Igrene succeeded him as "Guardian of the Desert". As a child, her mother passed away early, and Igrene looked up to Lady Louise as a new mother figure. Louise had such a strong impact on her life, that Igrene became an archer like her Etrurian idol. When the villagers learned of the Bern army using dragons, Igrene left the village to protect the land, and proved to be a great ally for Lord Roy. After the war ended, Igrene traveled around Elibe, and never returned to Nabata again.
Paul
An eccentric bandit living in the desert, Paul and his brother Jasmine attacked Lord Pent in the desert. Sadly for them, Hawkeye and Eliwood arrived on the scene, and Paul was killed in battle.
Jasmine
An eccentric bandit living in the desert, Jasmine and his brother Paul attacked Lord Pent in the desert. Sadly for them, Hawkeye and Eliwood arrived on the scene, and Jasmine was killed in battle. Jasmine is a bit of a masochist, as he enjoys the feeling of being killed.
Maggie
An eccentric bandit living in the desert, Maggie and his brother Rose attacked Lord Roy in the desert. He had heard rumors of a hidden village in the desert, and tailed Roy with the intent of killing him after finding the village. Unfortunately he got caught up in a battle between Bern and Lycia, and died in battle.
Rose
An eccentric bandit living in the desert, Rose and his brother Maggie attacked Lord Roy in the desert. He had heard rumors of a hidden village in the desert, and tailed Roy with the intent of killing him after finding the village. Unfortunately he got caught up in a battle between Bern and Lycia, and died in battle.
