Normand Corbeil was a composer for various films for 23 years. Nominated for two Primetime Emmy awards, and winner of the Genie award, Corbeil was well respected by his peers and considered a skilled composer. He passed away on January 25th, 2013, after battling pancreatic cancer.
Work in Video Games
He first began his work in video games on Indigo Prophecy, released in 2005 and developed by
Quantic Dream. He provided the orchestral score and worked alongside fellow composer Angelo Badalamenti. The founder of Quantic Dream, David Cage, was pleased with Corbeil's work in Indigo Prophecy and hired him to compose the score for Quantic Dream's next game, Heavy Rain. Corbeil was the head composer for Heavy Rain, creating 16 songs for the hit game. He was awarded a BAFTA award for his work on the game.
