Inspired by @slag, I thought I would keep track of the games I beat this year- my backlog is HORRENDOUS and it's high time I did something about it. I've been going at a pretty good pace so far this year, but I keep taking on JRPGs like a lunatic so that slows me down a bit.
Now I haven't keep track all of this year so far, but luckily most of my gaming has been on Sony systems so I can just dig through my trophies and figure out when-abouts I actually finished a game.
1/12 - No Platinum
3/4 - Nearly Platinum, damned MP trophies
3/11 - No Platinum
3/14 - Close to Platinum, need a second playthrough.
3/16 - Platinum - A little trophy mop-up, at this point I've become obsessed with Trophies
3/24 - I toyed with getting the Platinum for this (and still might someday) but the investment involved was just too crazy. And there's still too much of a backlog to focus on it.
3/31 - Relatively quick one, no Platinum to tempt me. Might clean up the couple of trophies I'm missing someday.
4/2 - No Platinum
4/2 - Ratchet & Clank 1: Platinum. Actually worked on this for a few days, managed to finish this and Killzone 3 same day.
4/6 - Finished the main game, going back to mop up Trophies and get the Platinum eventually
4/12 - Platinum, but no DLC. Might pick up the PS4 re-release and re-Platinum it I enjoyed it so much.
4/25 - No Platinum, are you crazy?! I did beat both the main story, and the "Epilogue" though.
5/3 - Platinum
5/6 - No Platinum
5/10 - No Platinum

5/26 - Platinum (Vita)
6/1 - Platinum
6/20 - No Platinum, I'll wrapup what I missed with the DLC comes out
6/20 - No Platinum
6/22 - No Platinum (Almost)
6/27 - No Platinum, I let this one sit 4/5ths done for the longest time.
6/29 - No Platinum
7/7 - All Trophies
7/24 - No Platinum
8/14 - Vita - Definitely not "done" with it
8/24 - Can you really beat Diablo? I finished the campaign so I'm counting it.
8/24 - Have to say, not that bad. Shame there'll probably never be another.
9/18 Vita - Hit the credits but there's a whole lot more game after that. Not sure I'll be able to summon the motivation to slog through all that just yet. Throw this in the "Revisit at some point" pile.
9/21 - I think anyway, there's actually no matching trophy for completing the story and unlocking the credits.
10/10 - Now I have to pick up all the glowy things and stab all the orcs.
10/17 - I finally did it! On easy. I'll take it.
10/21 - (Vita) I *might* try for the Platinum on this one. It's a nice Vita game, playable in little chunks- just do a song and move on.
10/25 - Assault on Dragon Keep DLC. **Part of Extra-Life 2014**

12/23 - Low hanging fruit at this point as I try to knock some easy stuff out of the way.
12/26 - Bad Blood DLC, no separate listing in the DB. One of the better character-driven DLCs I've played yet
