For a country, or at least a bunch of politicians in a country, that continually get on their high horse about "defending freedom everywhere" they are doing a pretty shitty job (this + SOPA)

I've been considering replaying both X-Wing and Tie Fighter (I have the original CD-Rom versions) but after reading the wiki entry it seems they were re-released with the XvT engine which should both making running in windows easier and provide some additional gfx detail.

Question is to anyone whose played them: are they bad remakes? Did they mess with the premission stuff too much? Did they break any game mechanics? Essentially, should I stick with the versions I have in DOSBox or hunt the the Collectors Editions down?

I got both of the Geometry wars S ranks. Number one took a long time, but wasn't frustruating. Two wasn't bad compared to one.

I'd say some of the trials HD stuff. I've kinda turned my back on achievements as I have too many games to play in too little time, and the they were starting to affect the choices I made in games. I will likely try to do Mass Effect Insanity runs at some point because I love those games so much.

Saints row probably. From a purely "I'm low on cash" standpoint Deus Ex and Goldeneye will both likely get super cheap during holiday sales and you can probably pick them up then, Saint's row is slightly newer and perhaps a tad more popular so I don't see it dropping in price as quickly as the others

When you compare his encoder presets from '09 with recent QL/live streams there is a really noticeable difference. I think he is getting lazy.

Also he doesn't talk very often which makes it a lot harder for the forums to speculate on whether he's a jerk or not. Thats pretty cowardly if you ask me.

What do you think?

I'm really enjoying this, though rewatching the trailer it looks like it could be something magical (pardon the pun) with good coop partners.

I'd imagine it could make a really awesome co-op speed run.

This game is absolutely mind-blowing in 3D, one of very few that I feel this way about. It looks incredible even in 2D and they really put time and care into the how the 3D works.
