I don't understand why people give TreyArch so much shit. I really liked W@W. MW2 is so disjointed and unbalanced that I don't even play it anymore. I am actually interested in seeing how this plays out.
Activisions (and every other profit seeking company) bullshit aside, I will wait to see how the game looks/plays before passing judgement. Like I said, I really like W@W, but then again I loved MW and don't like MW2 so much. The pressure by Activision does seems to have negative effects on theses games though so we shall see.
" The platinum is the best part! There's a certain satisfaction in knowing that you conquered the shit out of a game, even if it meant being dumped by your girlfriend and neglecting all obligations, social or professional. You can work on those things after you platinum a game! I've gone through this cycle 15 times. "
" I have a guy on my friends list that just got his 34th plat. I have 4 of them, but as soon as going for a trophy stops being fun I stop going for it. I also hate online specific trophies... not cool. "
Theres a bunch of games where the online trophies prevent me from getting the platinum :(... especially games that are more than a week old :(
There is so much multiplayer variety now that the communities are diluted and they fall apart real quick for most games so if I don't play it for 100 hours on the first week then they become impossible to get.
I have 3, and would like to get more... but yeah its tough to both find the time and the patience to play a single game that much. Especially as I have gotten older there is very little time to devote to gaming.
@Vinchenzo: no, but i tend to play games while my wife is watching whatever tv show she wants so it kindda evens out since I don't watch much tv. she doesn't care much that i am still into gaming, as long i still help out with the household chores :)
well, as for computer jobs there are a lot, the major groups are:
Various programming jobs (Java, .NET, PHP, etc...) Database Development/Administration (Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, etc...) Network Architecture/Security System Adminstration (Windows or Linux/UNIX)
I actually do a mix of all of them, as do a lot of people.
There are even a lot of certifications. In the tech field some companies will hire you just for having the certs (not that i condone that sort of thing).
oh also, you will spend the entire rest of your life learning new things everyday, getting started in one place/career does not mean you have to settle and be stuck there.
