@JCGamer: Saying they *can* do it is just to boast about the engine. It doesn't mean they will ;)
Have you tried the challenge rooms? It might happen there. I haven't yet. I am working through the GoW Collection, just finished the first one and one of the challeges had at least 20 enemies on screen at once, if not more... and this is only the first game.
My guess is the challenges will have upwards of 50 enemies at once.
" I have had no issues with GOW3, did you try any other games after playing this? "
I tried Killzone 2, Yakuza 3, Uncharted 2, Valkyria Chronicles and Dead Space. All worked just fine. I thought it was my disc-drive that was giving up, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I have a 40GB model FAT PS3 "
Probably the disc. "
yeah, sounds like it could be the disc. see if you can exchange it where you bought it.
@Bindings1: because people are cowards. they like to camp/hide in the bushes and try to one shot kill everyone from a spot where you can't see them. also, i am sure part of it is simple trophy/achievement whoring. Need those points yo and since there are trophies/achievements for maxing out a class my guess is a lot of people are choosing to max out the sniper class since they can mostly just sit and one place to do it (even though doing it this way likely takes much longer.)
I can't count the number of times I found a sniper, killed him then left his camping spot just to watch him come back to it (where I then proceed to kill him over and over as he keep going back to the same damn camping spot). It actually gets kind of funny after a while. I will move around just by his spot and focus all my attention on preventing them from camping.
I think part of why they look a bit like action figures is because the characters in GOW III (or any hack-and-slash) are (in most scenes) shown at that relative size as opposed to FPS's where everyone is usually at a more lifelike size (with more life like textures and clothes (optional in GOW III ;)).
It's more a style thing and each game, of course, has its own.
