I guess it depends on what I'm trying to watch. I have HD channels available so I'm gonna use those every time over their normal counterparts. But if I'm trying to stream something then I'm a lot less picky. I stream a lot of movies and tv shows so with those I'll settle with pretty mediocre quality. I'm usually good with anything 480 and above but I'd probably wait to watch a movie if the only available stream of it I could get was 240.

I'm currently playing through it right now and I love it. Have put in over a 100 hours and haven't beat the main story yet but thats because I refuse to leave any of the areas until I've beaten all the quests in that that area. Inquisition is my first DA game so I can't comment on how it compares to Origins and DAII. I'm also confused by the comment about creating a poll between DA:I and the Witcher 3. Not really sure how that conveys anything meaningful towards whether one game is bad or not. Witcher 3 hasn't even come out yet so people voting for that is based almost entirely on hype/expectation rather than actual experience. A better poll for accessing whether people liked Inquisition would have been a straight forward poll asking A: Liked it; B: Hated it; or C: Haven't played it.

By this point though I think this thread has made it pretty clear that Inquisition isn't inherently viewed as a bad game by the majority of people. Some people really like it and some people really hate it, but that is true for any game regardless of how well it scores or who published it. Try it for yourself and see if you enjoy it.

I haven't been to GameFAQ's in years but even when I did it was only for walkthroughs of games. Never really delved into the forums or community. Regardless sad to see that it has become such a place as people seem to say it has become.

I generally buy the physical disks for my PS4. I'm really cheap by nature and I can generally get a game a lot cheaper off Amazon then I can from the PSN store. For some reason not having a physical copy of the game is off putting to me. I've noticed with my PS3 that I tend to forget what digital games I even own. So the physical box and disk helps me keep track of the games I'm playing and own.

Had used Gamespot up until 2008 as my principle source for information about upcoming video games. Would look at screenshots, videos, articles, etc about games I was interested in. Knew who Jeff, Ryan, Brad, Rich, Vinny, Alex etc were but didn't really follow their work specifically or even watch/listen to any of the video series or podcasts they were on. Was really only interested in the game pages of Gamespot. Then the whole Kane and Lynch thing happened and I started paying attention to that and just developed an interest in seeing what Jeff would do. Started listening to the Arrow Pointing Down podcast and watching the How to Build a Bomb video series. Been here ever since although I'm rarely active in the forums or comments.

Somewhat strangely the reasons that I come to Giantbomb are like the exact opposite of the ones I used to go to Gamespot for. I no longer really visit pages for individual games I'm now more interested in the things I never paid attention to before like podcasts, live shows, Quick looks, etc.

@josephknows: The part that always blows my mind is that it wasn't even given a bad score. It was rated a "great" game but because it didn't get a 10.0 or damn near that people freaked out. I just can't comprehend how a game being reviewed differently from your own opinion warrants issuing threats of bodily harm or unnecessary insulting comments. For me all I care about when playing a game is whether I enjoy it or not. A critic could call my favorite game an affront to humanity and I wouldn't care.

@pcorb: This is coming from my honest curiosity and not trying to be confrontational at all. I'm just of a very different mindset so I'm trying to understand what I guess could be seen as the opposite extreme from me.

I understand taking games seriously and feeling strongly about a game you like and why you like it. But for me all I care about when playing a game is whether or not I like it not whether some "critic" also enjoys the game. I don't need for some "professional" to agree with me to feel satisfied/justified in why I enjoy something. I'll gladly tell someone why I enjoyed a game they hated but I'm never gonna get angry at them for disagreeing with me as long as they are respectful. They start calling me a "fat ass" or telling me I must have been "abused as a child" then I'll get angry. But i'll be angry at them for being a piece of shit not for not liking a specific video game, movie, etc.

At this point I don't even read game reviews anymore for the same reason I don't care about movie reviews. What I find enjoyable about a game/movie/show isn't going to be the same thing as a given critic. For example Jeff often mentions the frame rate of a game and visual aspects relating to that on things like the Bombcast or UPF. I care far less about that then he does. I've really enjoyed games that Jeff had stated he found barely playable due to drops in frame rate.

So I guess my question(s) would be why do/did you feel it necessary to post "long arguments and insults" of the nature of the posts displayed in the image you shared? Why does a reviewer ranking a game lower then you would have effect your personal enjoyment of a game?

I've actually noticed a change in the last couple of years in how my dad saids goodbye to me. When I was younger my dad and I never really said "I love you" to each other that often. If we weren't going to see each other for multiple days for some reason we might do a quick hug but the verbal goodbye was generally a "Talk to you Later" or "Call me for a ride when you get back". But now that I'm finishing up college I've noticed a change in how my dad says goodbye. I'm the youngest of three and my two older siblings now live in different states from where we grew up. So I'm the only one who still lives with our parents for an extended period of time even though its only between college semesters. The last year or so my dad has actively hugged me and said "I love you" as a goodbye. I think its because he's realized that when I completely move out in the next couple years he'll unfortunately be able to count the number of times he sees me or my siblings in a single year on one hand. I'm basing this on the number of times he sees my two older siblings on average each year.

@kevin_cogneto: That would be the MA Ipswich. That entire coastal region is famous for fishing communities like Ipswich, Marblehead, Gloucester, and others. Gloucesters another example of a MA town named after an English one.

I was initially very interested when I read the title as I live near Ipswich. Except I live near the New England (MA) version of Ipswich not the original Ipswich. Happens a fair amount to me actually. Will hear/read something and be briefly confused until I remember that basically every other town or county in MA is named after a place in England.
