As you can see, I've moved the disclaimer and donation info into separate blog posts to save space.
I've received my sixth and seventh donations! Thanks to mracoon for donating his Steam Gift copy of Portal, and Sjosz for donating his Steam Gift copies of Audiosurf, Cogs, and Killing Floor! I won't be accepting any more donations for Portal and Audiosurf until further notice.
If you have physical copies of games you are no longer interested in that are in good condition (as in, they work), then PM me with what game(s) you would like to donate and I will give you the mailing address you can ship them to. You will be responsible for all shipping costs. You won't get anything for it, but I will list your name (with a link to your profile) by the game you donate in all future contests that they are available, and permanently under the "Previous Winners" section of the contests.
I also accept digital donations! Just PM me what you would like to donate and I will add it to the next contest. If the donation is a Steam gift, please be sure to gift the game as soon as possible once I PM you with the winner's Steam ID!
These video games are often used, being from my own personal collection or the collection of others, so their condition will vary (with the exception of digital games, of course). All games will be tested to ensure they work before being listed, except in cases where I cannot, such as a PAL copy of a game. These contests are intended more for people just wanting to play the games as opposed to collectors.
There is no way for me to really verify who enters, but I'd appreciate it if you only enter if you're actually able to play these games and have interest in them! If something happens to the game during shipping and it doesn't work for some reason, then... oh well! I'm paying for everything, and all you'll have to deal with is minor disappointment. I won't compensate you for that!
I will be doing one of these every week until I run out of games. More games will be added as I beat and lose interest in them or as I receive donations!
Contests will start on Thursday at whatever time I start them and end on Wednesday at whatever time I end them. I will make a post one hour before the contest is closed.
I will then pick one winner using Random Line Picker and PM them asking for their mailing address (if applicable) and what game they want. The game will be shipped via Priority Mail with a tracking number for your convenience. (If you live in the U.S., that is. If you live anywhere else and want to enter, then you'll get some other kind of shipping speed without a tracking number!) Anyone from anywhere can enter! Games will be shipped on Saturdays.
So how do you enter? Simply answer whatever question I've come up with for that week and tell me what game you want. That's it!
I have received my fifth donation! Props to Kyreo for donating three Steam games. Every contestant will now have the chance to be gifted Left 4 Dead 2, Braid, or Audiosurf. Kyreo is based in the U.S., in case it matters.
I have added Enslaved: Odyssey to the West (NTSC) for the Xbox 360 from my own collection. I found it to be a great game and want to pass on the experience to others! As far as its condition, I could tell you that it was a brand new copy and you would believe me.
Also, any Steam winners will be eligible to win a three-day guest pass for Monday Night Combat, courtesy of crusader8463. It's still very active on the PC, and I had a lot of fun with it on my own and the Luchastaff.
Redesign is code for me abusing tables to hopefully make things a bit easier to read and understand. Thanks to Flaime and their formatting guide for the help. Let me know if it doesn't work as well as I think and I'll try something else in the future.
I've been disappointed in the amount of views these have been getting. It seems like more people would be into free games, so please spread word about these contests. Sure, more people means less chance of you winning, but it also means the potential for more donations!
It won't be for a while, but I will also be hosting Facebook-related contests in the future where anyone that "Likes" this page and comments on the contest story will get an additional entry into the contest (for a total of two entries). It's just a Facebook page where I post links to blogs I write here on Giant Bomb. It won't be updated for a while as I have no time to write currently, but you can go ahead and "Like" it for a head start. These contests will be rare and will be focused on points, such as Microsoft Points and PlayStation Network cards. Doing anything other than commenting on these contests here on Giant Bomb will never be a requirement, and there will never be Facebook-exclusive contests or anything like that. All anyone will get is an additional entry to increase their chances of being randomly selected!

All of these games have been tested and work. The cases themselves either have stickers on them or are in not-so-great condition, but the games play fine from my experience. As I've said before, these contests are for people that want to play the games, not collectors...
How To Play What's the longest car trip you've ever been on? Answer this question to enter!
Deadline You have until Sunday, April 10th at whatever time I am awake and decide to end it. I will make a warning post one hour before I close the contest and select the winner.
I've received my fourth donation! rentfn is donating three Steam games! You'll have the chance to win Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, or Portal! The game will be gifted via Steam when the winner is chosen. I'm not sure if it matters, but rentfn is from the USA (not positive on how Steam gifting works, so I thought I would mention it).
Wrighteous86 is also hosting his own contest, which you can check out here. His prizes include:
An original model Xbox360 120GB Hard Drive
An original model Xbox360 transfer kit
Manhunt (Xbox)
Halo: First Strike (Novel)
Half-Life Platinum Collection (PC)
Baldur's Gate 4 in 1 Box Set (PC)
Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels (DVD)
Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (DVD)

I've received my third donation! mosdl is donating a Steam code for a free copy of Just Cause 2! He got when he bought a graphics card in the U.S. I'm not sure how Steam codes work, but I figured I would mention the location, just in case! The code will be PMed when the winner is chosen. How To Play I just woke up, and this is the first thing I thought of since it is my brother's birthday tomorrow: tell me your favorite kind of cake! Don't eat cake? Then tell me what your favorite dessert is. Or your favorite desert (it may be fictional if you don't like any real deserts).
Deadline You have until Saturday, March 19th at whatever time I am awake and decide to end it. I will make a warning post one hour before I close the contest and select the winner.
Welcome to another special edition of Vito's Game Giveaway! First, congrats to Synthballs for winning Mass Effect 2! Second, the reason this giveaway in particular is special is because I've received my second donation! The best part? It's from another one of our previous winners, nintendoeats, who you may remember as the winner of Splinter Cell: Conviction! This mysterious package arrived at my house earlier last week:
All of these games have been tested and work. The cases themselves either have stickers on them or are in not-so-great condition (and Turning Point will not arrive in its original case), but the games play fine from my experience. As I said, these contests are for people that want to play the games, not collectors...

It was May of 2010, and I was riding around with my mom and brother in South Carolina. I can't remember why, but I started thinking about fake products from movies that were turned into real things. I got into a discussion about Tropic Thunder with my brother, and decided to see if Booty Sweat, the energy drink promoted by Alpa Chino in the movie, was a real thing. I went to Amazon on my phone to discover that it indeed was, and made the decision to order a pack of 24 cans. I was disappointed to discover that Bust-A-Nut candy bars did not exist.
I never had an energy drink before, due to having a heart condition in the past and just thinking they're not a good thing to put into one's body, but I decided that I would make an exception with Booty Sweat. I mean, it's Booty Sweat. You're not going to get a lot of chances to drink something with such a ridiculous name. To my surprise it was actually pretty good, and even seemed to keep me awake all night for some nice, extra long video-game sessions. I set aside four cans to send to Giant Bomb, as long-time listeners of the Bombcast will know that energy drinks used to be as integral to their recordings as video games.
It's two months later, and the four cans of Booty Sweat are still in my fridge. My brother and I are packing up the car the day after getting back from Japan, as we are moving out of our house in Texas and going to Oklahoma. I find a small box and wrap each can in bubble wrap, but realize that I don't have Giant Bomb's new mailing address, as this was right around the same time they moved from Sausalito to San Francisco. I go to their FAQ page on my phone to find the address but it has yet to be updated. I then hold the box on my lap for our trip north, and eventually find the address I'm looking for after getting the laptop set up in our temporary lodging. I was happy to see that my package arrived safely via Ryan Davis' Twitter feed a little while later:
Head on over to Amazon and type in "Booty Sweat" to try it out for yourself, though currently there are only individual cans available for $12.99 each. I would wait and see if you can get them cheaper later on.
