I really need to jump into Persona 5 Strikers. Not sure why I haven't played it yet, as a Persona fan and someone that has liked some Musou games (even though P5S is apparently not very Musou-like).
@birru: I'm the same way. Grew up with dogs and never had a problem, but after living dog free for many years, my allergies start going crazy if I spend a few hours around a dog.
This looks like the sort of focused 15-ish hour campaign that Avengers should have been. The main campaign of Avengers was great, but it was a few hours of content surrounded by generic service-game filler.
It's been a pleasure reading your stuff and chatting over the years, but yeah, I totally get the desire to step away.
With how much of our lives are spent online these days, it's never a bad idea to be reassessing how we're spending that time (and how much). Ditching FB and decreasing my time on Twitter (occasionally forgoing it entirely for a stretch) has really been good for me. I could probably stand to decrease that time even more, but it's tough to leave it all behind.
As for GB, there's no denying that things have changed drastically over the past couple of years, in terms of both the content and community. The future of Giant Bomb is still very unclear, and the ride GB is on and the final destination aren't going to satisfy everyone. Now is a perfect time to take a step back and take stock of how (or if) you want to continue engaging with things here.
@shtinky:I think trying to connect the subjects of horny games and real sex work is a bit of a stretch.
I'm also not aware of a single example of these supposed people you're referring to, but I don't think it really matters anyway. You could critique fanservice games and support sex work without that really being hypocritical.
@rlatham: Along those same lines, it's also worth noting that a lot of religious groups push government and corporations to support these policies under the guise that it's purely intended to shutdown awful illegal stuff like child porn and sex trafficking, but it is in fact the religious groups' true intent to indiscriminately shut down all sex work in totality.
