The official suggestion from Nintendo for this is pretty funny, just keep it away from:

  • the back of a tv
  • aquariums
  • in or under metal objects
  • large amounts of wires or cords

And keep it 3 to 4 feet away from:

  • cells phones, laptops, tablets, etc
  • wireless headsets
  • wireless printers
  • microwaves
  • wireless speakers
  • cordless phones
  • usb 3.0 devices

And if that still doesn't work, just power all of those off.
Link.

Apply for the new position, if you're not successful no big deal you've got a job you like already, but if you're offered it then you've got to make the choice.

With your current position is there the possibility it could turn into something more permanent? You spent 18 months at the other school so you've already got a pretty decent idea about what you're getting yourself into. Honestly work is always going to be a balance of pay, people, time & job satisfaction, with the people you work with being one of the biggest things about making a job crappy or amazing.

I don't have teaching experience but the relationship you've built up with the kids, doesn't that change every school year?

@morecowbell24: I'm not sure how you define completed especially when it comes to Mortal Kombat, but I assume you rushed through Left 4 Dead on low difficulty & not in co op?

@falconer: A quote from the article you linked "The handling, for instance, remains the same as in Dirt Rally, with a few extra tweaks and additions to make it even closer to the real thing". Ok that combined with the procedural generated tracks & over 50 cars has me excited.

Stick with Asus, the Republic of Gamers laptops they produce are really great quality. I've owned one for a few years with no issues, only swapped out the dvd for a ssd. For the price you're looking at there's one on sale at the moment with a 1050 which will be able to handle Civ.

Link to one on sale.

I'm looking forward to see what Valve comes up with in VR with the new Vive controllers.

"The battery life for the screen is up to six hours", except that it's 3 hours if you're going to play a game like Zelda.

Nintendo's biggest draw is it's software, I'm hoping the switch goes the way of the wiiu & Nintendo focuses on bringing their games to other consoles & PC.

I was impressed from the reviews how capable the PS4 was at launch, as someone who owns a Vive the better the PSVR does the better for the whole of VR. With CES & seeing all the continued hardware support for the Vive with wireless adapters, the ability to make custom controllers, the constant release of software (with some amazing experiences like Google Earth VR & Dirt Rally) & the upcoming releases like Doom VR, the PSVR seems pretty lacking. Hopefully there's a bit of a boost with something like Grand Turismo.
