2011 had a an excellent selection of great games to choose from but only a select few could make the list.
*NOTE*
These are only the games I've had the chance to fully complete and spend a decent amount of time with. I have yet to play Skyrim and Goldeneye and Halo Anniversary are on my to-do list.
Improved on the original in almost every way that I wanted and spent over 60 hours on it. Never a dull moment.
An amazing and great way to end an excellent trilogy. Radically engaging multiplayer keeps this on the top of my list.
Rarely do I ever play RPG's, but considering I'm a huge LOTR fan I gave it a chance, and was I ever blown away. One of the most addictive games I've ever played.
The best franchise in the fighting genre returns with a bang. Bringing back the classic 2D style of fighting was a brilliant choice.
My biggest surprise of the year. Although it did have a few bugs but none that cause game-breaking issues, Dead Island provided some of the best zombie killing in years.
Always up for an AC game and Revelations didn't disappoint. Brilliant and very touching way to end the stories of Ezio and Altair.
Wasn't a huge fan of the first game but the switch to consoles and an upgrade in combat mechanics make this an excellent and beautiful shooter.
Believe it or not, as much as this is an Arkham Asylum/City rip-off, I thoroughly enjoyed this and had excellent voice acting provided by Cap himself, Chris Evans. Addictive.
Again, a very underrated and under appreciated action game under the Super-hero genre.
