My wife and I love the content. Alex's streams, in particular, are a bright spot in these dark days. It's fun to set up multiple windows for the Minecraft streams, too. I've also really enjoyed having three video podcasts, since it's uplifting to see people crack up rather than just hearing it. My wife particularly loves Clue Crew, because of the sibling-esque Abby/Alex dynamic. That chill Jeff Trackmania / music stream I caught the other night was hypnotic.
There are some streams I don't tune in for, and a few - Bloodborne Identity - I've fallen off of because I want to consume them in order. But I'm grateful for everything the crew's doing, and doubly so during these hellish times. I'll welcome more Quick Looks if the world ever pivots back to something resembling the era before, but hope some of the current content continues. Especially video Beastcast...and maybe drum streams every few weeks at least.
I've also been going back through the archives on Quick Looks, but that's more because Ryan's been on the mind of late.
I even managed to get my wife to try it - though we'll see if it sticks. I stressed that it's better to think of the game as Stardew Valley over WoW, but I'm not sure the throwback graphics will charm her since looks are usually a sticking point.
I've got a deer potion and am psyching myself up to be a deer for a period of time.
I was just browsing the front page and noticed a little Bomby icon in the top right of the screen that looked unfamiliar, so figured it was a new feature and clicked it. The name that came up was Hepu, and I thought perhaps GB was using an irreverent translation of "help" (actually, first I thought I was having a stroke). I clicked it and it took me to a user profile page, which is when I put together that what I'm normally seeing in the top right is my avatar.
I logged out immediately, and when I logged back in everything came up correctly, as me. Here's a link to the profile GB thought I was (and so far as I can tell, only on this comp; I checked the media computer and I'm still logged in properly there). This seemed especially pertinent because Hepu appears to have been on the site for about 3 days, so it may be something with new accounts?
