I want to see more Quick Look Throwbacks, would be interesting if they did more of them for series getting remakes or getting revived. I know I personally haven't played every series, or even every major series out there, after all. As much as I'd like to see Quick Look Throwbacks of all kinds of older, popular titles, it wouldn't make much sense to do them if they're not really relevant in some kind of way.
I used to do it a lot, but it destroyed my fans and really didn't help keeping my room moderately cool most of the time. Since I got a new one, I tend to leave it on until I sleep, or if I'm going out for a couple hours, I just turn it off.
I'm with most of the people in this thread, keep him silent. I do occasionally notice the occasional weird pause where it just sounds dumb not to respond, but I really enjoy being able to just project myself onto the character as a an avatar and after two games and two episodes, I can't see muck merit in changing Gordon to a voiced character now.
I really like both oddly enough, both are simple and to the point of the game. First one evokes more of a Demon's Souls kind of feeling than the other one though, at least to me.
I play my 360 the most. Preferring the controller and achievements to the DualShock 3 and trophies is my main reasons. I've also had a 360 for the longest amount of time, so it became my favorite thanks to that, partially. I use my PS3 for exclusives, that's pretty much it. If I want to watch stuff on my tv I use my PS3 for that as well, easier to set up a media server on it than a 360. The Wii pretty much gathers dust, I've only got a few games for it. Still bust out the PS2 from time to time, especially now that I got the Metal Gear Solid Essential Collection.
If you're not a fan of Western's, maybe you should just rent Red Dead and get Portal 2 right now. It took me over six hours to beat Portal 2 honestly, maybe 7 or 8, and I loved every second of it, a fantastic game. Red Dead is also pretty good, if you're looking for a game to last you a while, it definitely would be Red Dead over Portal 2. I'm also not a huge fan of Western's, but Red Dead did the genre good and honestly, you can't go wrong either way, both are great games.
Surprisingly, I've gotten little hate mail. I'm not terrible at games either, I have my good and bad days. Only one that I can really remember was some dude in Demon's Souls who happened to be in the same world as me and my friends were when we were co-oping it, kept invading us and he murdered us a couple times, ended up sending some dumb taunts my way after the second time.
I'm fine with the label, it's never really bothered me and I'm happy my interests can at least be defined in someway, I suppose. Like most people's responses I've read, other interests have their labels, don't see what the big deal is about being called a gamer.
