This year, mang. Adding Gravity Rush HD and Bloodborne DLC to list along with Tomorrow Children, FO4, SOMA, Just Cause 3, Persona 5 etc.. I don't think my wallet could take The Witness coming out this year as well.
I hope they continue with the various panels they livestreamed. I remember the Diablo 3 one in particular being pretty good, and actually selling me on the game.
Agreed! Ones like "Storytelling in Video Games" and "The Art of Creating Surprise and Discovery in Games" were some of my favorites from last year. TBH I'd probably rather stream a panel discussion than be locked into a chair for the duration, but I'm sure there'll be some I get plenty excited about.
Sony announced on their blog that this year's Playstation Experience event will be at the Moscone Center here in San Francisco during the weekend of December 5th & 6th. Early bird tickets are at $60 for both days currently.
Last year's show in Vegas looked like a lot of fun and I know I would've had a blast at that No Man's Sky after-hours live show with 65daysofstatic. I'm hoping for something similarly unique this year. Mostly, I'm positive they'll have Morpheus fully represented at this show and the chance to finally get some hands-on time with it is worth the price of entry for me alone.
Any SF or Bay Area duders think they might be stopping by this event? Any potential announcements or game demos you're particularly excited about?
I don't know if the EU store will have the same "pre-order 2 or more titles for 10% off coupon" promotion (I don't think they did last year), but the game release dates ought to be the same, and EU PS+ members ought to be getting a discount as well.
Am I right in thinking GALAK-Z is a bullet hell type of game?
Action certainly gets dicey in bullet hell kind of way, but it looks way more nuanced than that. There's a interview and gameplay vid from E3 with the dev, and given that this is releasing next month, it could be a pretty final build they're showing off:
@hassun: 1080p/60fps. Everything else will be the same. It's a wonder how the increased framerate makes certain games feel new again. Flower felt like a completely different game at 60fps on the PS4 version. There are a few parts in Journey that I can't wait to see presented in a faster, smoother framerate.
Love Journey a great deal, still one of the most memorable games of recent years for me, I still listen to the soundtrack.
Is the PS4 version still going to be free for those who own it on PS3?
If you purchased Journey on the PS3 digitally, then yes. If you own the physical version (the Collector's Edition with Flow and Flower) then no, unfortunately.
Austin you've never played Journey?! Hoo boy, are you in for a treat :)
Also, the cross-buy for Journey only kicks in if you purchased the digital version on PS3. There is a retail disc called "Journey Collector's Edition" that has it plus the other thatgamecompany titles (Flow, Flower) in it, but owning that doesn't entitle you to the cross-buy promotion.
N++ looks like my kind of frustration simulator and I've been waiting for Galak-Z for-ev-er, so this is all great news.
