@gcg: I was excited when this episode started, not having heard the date they said, but it quickly became clear that an old show had popped up instead of the current one, I thought maybe Jeff was acknowledging the old place.

I wonder if Saints Row has a system save and a game save, so restarting another game save carries over glitched settings from the system save?

I played a bunch of Willy Beamish, to the point you have to shoot a vampire bat, but I could never hit it without a light gun, so I was never able to progress past it. I still always think of the way they say "Colaaa!!!" though.

The power of lemmings compels you!

Everyone seemed to be making Jan's point about clipboard, it should sound like cupboard, one of them must be wrong.

I watched all the MI movies for the first time recently, 2 wasn't as bad as I'd heard, except for the terrible music. 3 wasn't nearly as good as I'd heard.

I played the first Metroid Prime far enough that the stupid space pirates started popping up in all the places I'd already been, and it annoyed me so much that I never even got to Ridley. I hate when they add annoying enemies into the later parts of games.

Dan marveling at how they did everything was great, and him and Grubb needling each other is something that's missing from a lot of these.

I hope all the members of Giant Bomb's past and present will be able to interact, it's been weird lately that people who worked together so long don't seem to be able to acknowledge they ever existed, it's felt like maybe there were corporate issues getting in the way, hopefully it's a new era of personalities amplifying each other's product.

My girlfriend moved from Okinawa to Hawaii when she was two. The first time she knew that pineapples grow from a plant on the ground was in her 40s when we visited Okinawa, which has lots of pineapples just like Hawaii. She saw a display that had a little pineapple sitting on top of the plant, and didn't know why it was on top, she thoughtthey grew on trees.

I have some experience digging potatoes out of the ground in Iowa, we found lots of stone arrowheads in the fields. I always thought they were cool.

I rewatched and listened to sendoffs for the Nextlander guys a little while ago, and it was nice to see how fond everyone seemed, and it seemed like they'd all be able to interact still. Then, I don't think I ever heard Gerstmann mention them again, and it seemed rare to hear about anyone who'd ever been at GB other than Dan. Now, it's sad that we don't get any goodbye to Gerstmann, but maybe he'll be free to acknowledge old friends again. Giant Bomb hardly seems like it merits the name anymore, but the group of people is still worth following.

When my dad got home from work and finally got to sink into the couch he’d say uff da. And I think ope is more widespread than just the Midwest, lots of people say it when they almost walk into someone, or miss a step, or something.
