It is a good game, an interesting mix between the sensibilities of Studio Ghibli (Totoro, Mononoke) and Level 5 (Dragon Quest and Rogue Galaxy), with its pros and cons: the story can be extra saccharine and the gameplay can be heavy on grinding. If you don't mind that or take it at face value, you will likely enjoy the game.

Many people think very highly of the game, and I think is really good myself; but if I have to be honest, I think its because there are very few games like it this generation.
