Halo 3 is not ten years old? I refuse to believe that.

Frame rates are more important to me than resolution is. Before I upgraded my graphics card I was fine playing at 720p if that's what it took to get 60fps.

The DmC reboot was a prime example of this. I found the 360/PS3 versions unplayable, the controls felt so unresponsive at 30fps. I played it on PC and the frame rate mattered a great deal.

I would recommend starting with DR1 just to experience how unique it is. Off the record probably has the best balance of keeping the wacky stuff but improving on some of the poor systems so.

I really need to get around to this one. The gameplay looks a lot like Onimusha which gets me excited.

Then I always hear it plays like Dark Souls so it's time I find out.

The dream levels are the main reason I don't go back to Max Payne very often. They sucked then and are unplayable now.

I think there can be good examples of this though. I recently finished Rise of the Tomb Raider and was really disappointed in it. I remember finishing the reboot in 2013 and loving it and went back and played through it again and forgot how better that game is. I couldn't quite remember what made it so enjoyable before I went back to it.

There are some I've gone back to and found out to my dismay that they're not actually as great as my memory would have me believe. That's always a shitty feeling.

Halo 5 takes this for me. I played a little of the multiplayer when it came out but it wasn't until around January time this year that it really pulled me back in. Reach was the last Halo I put a lot of time into so I think the time away combined with the new additions in Halo 5 really made it feel fresh again.

The ending did surprise me a little the first time bit after going through again recently I enjoyed a lot more.

I just really hope Doom 2 opens with Doom guy landing back in hell and throws you straight into the fight.

I could see Vega becoming your connection/plot device to get back to earth too. Who knows what madness will be going on at that point too.

So this has been quite the head scratcher of PC issues.

I updated my drivers due to USB ports on my case not working properly and while that fixed that issue it has now rendered two of the USB 3 ports on the rear of my motherboard almost useless.

I have tried the following to resolve this but so far I haven't figured it out.

System restore, CMOS reset, complete BIOS reset by removing the battery on my board. I also cannot find the ports in question listed in my device manager.

Before this happened I had three separate listings for Intel chipset USB enhance host controller in device manager whereas now there are only two. I have looked everywhere I can think of in device manager but cannot find them.

Has this happened to anyone else and if so were you able to get around it? It seems silly that such a small thing has caused seemingly irreversable changes.

Thanks in advance for any help. The ports will transfer power by the way, so stuff like phones, MP3 players can be charged, but will not transfer data.

Can you uninstall the host controller in device manager, reboot, and let it re-recognize it? Might have to hard shutdown for this to work as you could potentially lose all USB functionality on that hub while you restart.

Reference this article if that doesn't work for some registry editing.

If I uninstalled the host controller would it recognise all the USB ports as new hardware in that case? I haven't tried that yet and if that is what it does it seems like it would work.

My first thought was Skittles, which is based on what is a good thing to chew on while playing a game.

There are so many answers to this though depending upon the situation. But you can never go wrong with Skittles.
