Oh good, another sniper, and with another unavoidable ability that takes away control of your character, because those have already been so much fun coming from McCree, Roadhog, and Mei.
Can't you avoid Mei's freeze by just not being close to her?
Ah man, this is awesome. In case people aren't aware, Kanye was really close to his mom, who died a few years ago from a cosmetic surgery complication. Her death really signaled his turn into the more abrasive, unpredictable Kanye we know today - watching interviews, you can see it clearly destroyed him. He wrote the song Hey Mama in her honour, and now this.
I'm sad that people are being cynical about this or calling Kanye an egotist over it. I would love to be able to make a video-game about my mom if anything happened to her.
I will play and likely very much enjoy X-Com 2, I played a lot of the previous 2. That said, boy does this not look much different or newer. Same base setup, same camera angles, some reused environment assets, UI, music...I'm sure there are subtle or other differences, but this video did not give a great "new" vibe. That might help with waiting to play this on console, if that happens, or at least with a controller on PC.
Didn't they explicitly state in this video that no environmental assets were re-used? Music is also different, as is a lot of the UI, and the base-management has changed a bunch (especially because of the new ways you interact with the over-world and how that affects base stuff).
Plus stealth-mechanics, hacking mechanics, all-new class trees, most of the enemies are new, new weapons and items, even your point about 'camera angles' (do you complain when the sequel to an FPS is still first-person?) isn't quite right because there are new action-cam angles. It seems pretty different to me!
