@spicyfoodman: Oh many The Swapper is great! That's a good call. I'm not 100% sure what my choice would be, but that is up there. I'm going to throw Rogue Legacy on as a contender.
If the crew isn't in to the debating anymore, no problem, find something new to do. Whatever this is just isn't all that enjoyable to listen to. Hope they figure something fun out for next year!
Gladius: is a strategy game with some rpg elements about gladiators. I remember it being really good but, it has also been over a decade since I played it.
I've never seen anyone else ever talk about this game. I love it and would kill for a remaster or sequel. My friends in high school and I think college too played this game every summer (had 4 player coop) with differing rule sets laid on top. It's seriously a fun, replayable game with a story that is fine. I think I've beaten it 4 or 5 times, and it's a long game.
I've never had a GB related dream, but I did have an Idle Thumbs dream once, wherein Chris Remo took me to meet his parents and we built an IKEA style bed frame together. That was a weird thing.
Final Fantasy XI fostered a unique community, and required active teamwork to defeat any enemy worth killing. And by active teamwork I don't mean you have a full party and you go kill stuff, you had to use your abilities at the right time in conjunction with the rest of your party. It could be frustrating, but was also incredibly rewarding and is the only MMO I've played that justifies itself as actually being Massively Multiplayer and always online.
Definitely MGSV. I really did not like the direction it went. Kind of the same thing for Bloodborne but I wouldn't necessarily nominate it in this category.
