Hotdogs. The difference between a good burger and a bad burger along with the arbitrary "doneness" of the Griller can end up with a burgers so hit or miss that I'd need to mask it's problems with extra condiments. Also hotdogs are relatively cleaner and more mobile than a burger whose ketchup and tomato payload can be forced out of the burger and end up on your khakis.

I used to think I had niche taste in games but it looks like hard turn based strategy game are making a come back so I always had an idea of a turn based game about Alexander the Great's Conquest of the known world but instead of horses and chariots his entire Army will ride on a single massive open air train and encounters can be actions on the spectrum between simple disembarking for peaceful interactions or you can slam the train through a bandit blockade and shoot at enemies with bullets made of glassed sand. The game's visuals and art style will be designed in a way that clothing and objects could be sourced from any point in history.

That or a simple survival, crafting simulation game where you control a sandcrawler and give orders to a group of small characters that are not Jawas to take apart ships and objects in the desert to make parts for the sandcrawler or sell to other travelers. There are already a couple games that are like this. One is a mobile game called Sandship that has factorio building mechanics and another game made by Arc Systems called "Of Mice and Sand". Both are pretty interesting but I would like the game to have Dwarf Fortress/Rimworld style gameplay. I think given enough time someone will make it.

@shindig: that would be a pretty good title for a show about Rorie playing early access games.

@sparky_buzzsaw: Not sure if you are still into that show but apparently they just stream the whole thing on twitch 24 hours a day.

If you like shows that are all about teen angst and hot blooded fights Crow Zero and Majisuka Gakuen are IMO the high water marks. If you happen to like the serious portions of Yakuza Games that deal with comraderie, honor and dudes smoking cigarettes while gazing into the distance, Crow Zero has that in spades. That and some decent fights between school factions that involve people that really don't look like they have any business being in a high school. I believe the first two are directed by Takashi Miike.

If you like the essentially the same thing but set in an all girls school with clicks and clubs that operate more like gangs factions, Majisuka Gakuen can't be beat. The fight scenes aren't as good as Crow Zero but they are still imbued with the same themes of finding an identity and place through combat.

When the entire Wind Instrument Club shows up, shits about go down.

@gtxforza: It's pretty great and it has so many ways to customize the desktop. Since I'm the only user when I boot up to the login screen, music plays at sign in so it's a little extra customization. Plus if the music does not play at login it lets me know something went wrong at boot phase even before I signed in.

I use Wallpaper Engine so imagine the image on the left but animated. The Chicks are bobbing around and moving, the water is overflowing, there is steam moving across the screen and chillbeats that play when ever I am looking at the desktop.

@sethmode: I'm still fond of it. The number of great scenes really make the movie in my opinion. I absolutely love the scene where the captain knows he's going to die on the reflector shield and while the rest of the crew is telling him to move the science officer is on a private channel asking him what does he see.

The captain does the only thing he can do: turn to look at the life giving sun before it turns him into ash.

The Sun from the movie Sunshine.

I really like how some of the crew became weirdly transfixed by it. I also prefer to consider the human villain as an extension of the suns affects on the crew.

Crosshair from Star Wars Bad Batch.

Unable to resist the affects of clone programming and further manipulation, the end result is a killer whose only loyalty is blind obedience to order. A walking reminder to the protagonists of a lost ally and a lingering fear that any of them could have been susceptible such control.

Scorpious from FarScape

Aside from some dark background and looking like William Dafoe in fetish gear he starts out as an obsessed villain chasing the heroes while being an overarching villain when the current antagonist veers into anti hero territory. He becomes more interesting when compromised, stripped of most of his power and forced to engage with the protagonists as less a warlord and more a exiled dictator.

From my understanding the custom body is made by a company that makes unique limited run synth devices and that the price is comparable to what the company puts out. So you are also kind of playing for a piece of art house hardware.

I have no plans to buy it but I think it looks pretty neat. If I were wealthy it would be sitting in a glass case next to $300 emulators and a Vectrex.
