Cool weirdness from out of nowhere. Neat! I think motion controls would make this easier somehow, but I don't know how moving upward would work.

I've never been "into" Dragon Quest, yet its music and designs still make me feel nostalgic for some reason. I've only ever played the first and eighth ones, and I was already an adult when I played each. Weird stuff.

Jeff being squeemish about eye stuff makes me feel a little less silly about being squeemish about eye stuff. I can't do drops either, and try as I might, I couldn't get in a pair of practice contacts when I foolishly thought "Hey, I'm going to toughen up and do this!"

. . .I just couldn't do it. Glasses forever for me. :(

Getting a fight stick involved? That might complicate some things.

This will likely be the next Switch game I get. I tried the demo and approve of the English voice acting for the fish dude.

Something about the pixel art is bugging me. I don't know if it's the style and shading of the sprites or the difference in contrast between the sprites and the backgrounds. Something about it stands out to me and not in a good way.

The combat system looks solid, though.

I want to see other video game characters do post-death schtick.
