I'm convinced that videogame consumers are the dumbest, most naive, and most short-sighted market that has ever existed.

On one hand I dread the day that family members can no longer share the same copy of a game, but at the same time I relish the thought of all you clowns realizing how wrong you all were (well after it's too late of course).

I can think of a couple games based on movies that were fairly decent so I'd say movies based on games are worse because I really can't think of any that weren't complete trash.

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise was significantly smartened up in both depth and playability over it's predecessor.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your complaint here, but I just don't see the problem with consoles being able to do more than just play games.

I agree. They're still making more games than I can keep up with and honestly, I can't imagine going back to needing a separate device for every type of media.

I'm pretty resistant to ads so I'll take extra functionality over no advertising any day.

I don't really care about playing them much myself, but I would love if they'd release educational games for kids on PSN/XBLA so I could play them with my boy.

I'd probably be willing to pay more than I should for even a cheaply developed/poorly made game if it had a solid educational core.

Personally I've always been more about the lines and structure of the tracks then the paint job they put on them. As long as tricks are big and the runs ride good I'm good.

The saddest part about Resistance is that I'm not saying "Oh no!" or "Good riddance". I just don't really care one way or the other.

The funny thing is I bet the Zynga version will be way slower and more expensive but still make piles more money than Tiny Tower.

Tiny Tower is currently the only free-to-play game that I can play. Many of them start out promising but quickly slow to a crawl if you don't want to pay substantial amounts of money for their in game currency.
