@quid_pro_bono: Well I wouldn't jump to any conclusions just yet. As someone who is usually fine with 30 FPS and generally tolerable, the FPS seemed worse than what I remember of the launch. Potentially expected of a graphics improvement, but I would also assume they'd optimize it for it. Rather than just taking a poorly running game and adding even more stuff. Both of my crashes happened as soon as I used the Terrain Manipulator. But since other people aren't reacting the same way, I'm assuming I'm doing something wrong on my end at this point. Then again, they've mostly said PC.
Maybe it was because I used the terrain manipulator in first person? I thought first person might help the frame rate but it didn't seem like it. I also tried the "Locked Framerate" option in the options menu but it didn't seem to do anything. Turned the blur way down and bumped the FOV to 90. Maybe it was weird server load stuff from the time I was playing it?
I want to give it another go but busy with a project at the moment.
Thanks for the detailed reply. The Steam sale is going until the 27th and PS4 is on sale until sometime in early August, so I think I'll wait to hear some more impressions. Hopefully GB will stream the multiplayer.
So is the game working fine for other PS4 Pro users? Or am I the only one with horrible framerates and crashes. Unless everyone else is just playing on PC.
Yikes, this sounds really bad. I was going to ask if I should play on my Pro or if I should just get it on PC. I have a friend on PS4 who I was thinking about playing with. Is the multiplayer worth it? I may just get the PC version if not.
@relkin: The thing though is that if you watch Kill La Kill as one of your first exposures to anime a lot of the jokes parodying the genre may not land. It's a show that's great for fans of anime, but probably not a great entry point.
I played it, it’s super fun! Very relaxing. The punishments for screwing up even a boss fight are pretty chill, you just lose some of your fruit. I beat the game after around 6-7 hours which included some of the sidequests but not all. After the final boss the game allows you to continue playing to wrap up everything else. I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys metroidvanias or pinball games!
@quirkwood: When I was around 11 my friend went to “boobs . com” on my laptop and my mom found out because my AOL child account auto-emailed the parent account when I accessed adult content. I figured out how to turn that off pretty quickly. Fucking AOL narcs.
