I thought it had all the nuance of a Call Of Duty trailer, stumbling from setpiece to setpiece. The one thing this movie has to get right if the DC Cinematic Universe is to be a succes, is to have a somewhat convincimg story and likeable characters. The former is pretty unclear based on the trailers. As for the charecters, Henry Cavil still plays Superman like he is Captain McBland, Ben Affleck seems to be a good choice for Batman/Bruce Wayne, Gal Gadot still looks like she's cosplaying and I really hope she speaks with a better accent than in the Fast&Furious movies and then there's Jesse Eisenberg... Kevin Spacey was a manecing Lex Luther in Superman Returns, Eisenberg looks like he's playing Darth Mark Zuckerberg

I'm not that far into the game (14%) but so far I find the Batmobile sections to be terrible, so forcefully implemented. Also I have to agree with Jeff, those Joker hallucinations are terrible. Everytime he starts one of those monologues I want to punch him to death, but sadly I can't. So now every time he appears I just mute the TV for a while.

Well, thanks to Jeff and Unprofessional Fridays I found myself playing 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand over the weekend. On occassion I feel the need to play through Red Dead Redemption or the Mass Effect Trilogy again.

Both of my parents were raised as Christians and they both hated it so they decided to let me choose for myself. Ultimately, I am an atheist but a bit less radical I suppose than a few years ago. There was a time that I genuinely couldn't stand religion in any shape or form, mostly because of the way religion has been (and still is being) used as a reason to start wars. However, my views have softened over the last few years (basically during my last two years in law school). If a person believes in a god and can find strength in his or her religion than that's great for that person and I'm happy for them, as long as no one tries to force their religion upon me. Live and let live right?

@humanity: I am serious. For some reason I just didn't feel like playing this game the moment I saw that prompt. It really breaks immersion because the song in the background keeps playing while the game waits until you press x, at first I thought the game crashed or something like that. I usually don't mind QTE's, I thought the 'press square/x to pay respects' was dumb in Advanced Warfare but it didn't kept me from playing the game. I didn't even mind 'press x to Jason' in Heavy Rain. Believe me I'm still confused as to why it bothers me so much here.

I have to ask since I've been trying to play this game for over three days now, but does anyone else think that 'press x to incinerate' is a dumb way to open a game? It's so weird, I've never ever had this with a videogame but I just cant seem to get past 'press x to incinerate'. I've tried three times but everytime I see that prompt on screen I just quit out of the game.

Do the Ubisoft thing, fix the game and give everyone all the season pass content for free. Because this has been a collossal fuck up and I'm not even a PC gamer. It sounds like this game was three months away from being ready to ship.

The all digital future is a lot further off than some think. Outside of major cities and around the world digital buying of games is yet to really take off. As long as physical media sales make up the majority of sales relationships with brick and mortar stores will have to be maintained.

In the distant future where digital sales far out-weigh physical then I think we'll see console digital prices go the way of Steam games

Pretty much this. In large parts of Europe the Internet isn't all that great either, even in the larger countries (Spain, France, Italy etc). I can understand that if you live in a urban area with lightning fast Internet (such as presumably California) you might think that a all digital future is only two years or so away, however it's a pretty different picture when you take other parts of the world into consideration. To give an example, two months ago I went to Spain (southern Spain, near Malaga) and a local told me that the fiber optic cables required for high speed internet were only installed in (parts) of the region last year. And downloading a 50 GB game with a 1 or 2 MB/s download speed is a huge pain in the ass.
