Here we go again 0

Have we all been waiting for a new driving game? How long has it been since our last? Years after the infamous disaster that was Driv3r, we're now back to having lots of fun in Driver: San Francisco. Everything about this game makes it one of the greatest games of 2011, as well as one of the greatest games of the decade, especially when it runs at a smooth 60FPS on all, and I do mean ALL, platforms. This is the first Driver game to factually feature licensed vehicles, from US manufacturers like C...

Prepare to drop 0

An all new Halo experience with a new protagonist, new locations, characters, and much more, ODST is an awesome addition to the franchise. Despite the title, the game takes place during the events of Halo 2, but before the events of Halo 3, which makes the title misleading, though it might make sense as a sort of prequel to Halo 3.The game was heavily criticized for being overpriced at launch since it costed 60 dollars upon release, and considering how short the game is (its extremely short camp...

Bungie's grand finale for the Halo franchise. 0

Reach is the fifth installment in the Halo franchise and the series' official prequel. It was the last Halo game developed by Bungie, before the development was taken over by Microsoft themselves as their division, 343 Industries, made the future main titles in the series. This game, with really good and detailed graphics, is the prequel of Halo: Combat Evolved, and it tells the events of the planet known as Reach, which was mentioned a lot in the series. While it's amazing, the story was polariz...

The stunning end to the Halo trilogy. 0

Here it is: the third installment in the Halo franchise and the sequel to Halo 2 (2004). Everyone still says this is one of the greatest ever made like the previous two games in the franchise and I do agree. With awesome graphics that are extremely detailed for Xbox 360 standards, and a really stellar soundtrack, the story is still great, like previous games, with the characters still being likable, including The Arbiter (I still dislike him though), Master Chief, Sgt. Johnson (my two favorites o...

Hey, watch this! 0

When I first saw Halo, I cannot tell you how blinded I was by its majesty. When I saw the second installment in the Halo franchise and the sequel to Halo: Combat Evolved (2001), I have seen that it has received multiple recognition and awards, including Best Console game and Best Sound Design from the Interactive Achievement Awards. According to Xbox.com, the game has received more than 38 individual awards. The game partly suffered from a rushed development, which caused a few flaws despite Bung...

It's still awesome 0

The third major installment in the Call of Duty series was released for PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and Xbox (making it the last for the last two consoles). It was a launch title for the PlayStation 3 and Wii in North America, Europe and Australia. This is, unfortunately, the last game in the series to be rated T for Teen (outside of ports), as later games have became more mature with it's content (which is very problematic). The campaign jumps between various characters from diff...

It's showtime, baby! 0

The sequel to the MSX2 videogames and the first two games, Metal Gear Solid was a huge success, which prompted the release of an expanded version for the PlayStation and PC, titled Metal Gear Solid: Integral, as well as a remake for the Nintendo GameCube in 2004 titled Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. The game was originally going to be called Metal Gear 3, but was renamed to Metal Gear Solid instead because of the shift in graphics to 3D and because the other Metal Gear games weren't released...

Evolved combat: The game that officially brought Microsoft to the console market and the start of the Xbox family. 0

Some awesome games and consoles have changed gaming history as we know it. This is one of those awesome games & consoles that are important and influential pieces of gaming history. The first installment in the Halo franchise, this is the official launch title for the Xbox on November 15, 2001. Over 20 years later, it still remains of great importance. Several sequels and spin-off titles were released after the successful release of this game. But, despite their flaws, Microsoft has still re...

So we finally meet. 0

Now this is a very interesting entry in the franchise. Thanks to the power of the RE engine, the visuals are still outstanding, as is the voice acting itself. The plot is interesting, especially because Lady Dimitrescu is the amazing villain in this franchise. The village is an interesting location. There are also other interesting characters, although in the village, despite being European, I wondered why most of the characters clearly had American/Canadian accents. That's one of the few things...

Flat tire is no problem, except in this game that gets crazy bad! 0

Here we have an unlicensed "game" for the Sega Genesis only in North America, developed by Tom Scripts Ltda. and published by Devster Specialties. The game was said to be launched on the Sega Genesis in late 2004, even though the Sega Genesis was discontinued in 1997; not only that, but it is also the final game to be "released" on the said console. The front cover art designed by djshok, a user on the Sega-16 forum, is very cool-looking. But, to be fair, it looks like the game was made in...

Give it a miss... 0

One of the six parts of the unreleased Sega CD game Penn & Teller's Smoke and Mirrors created by Imagineering, starring the famous celebrity magicians and entertainers Penn and Teller, Desert Bus was used for a contest, where the winner got a prize if they played the game for too long. The game was used for an annual charity event called Desert Bus for Hope which raises money for Child's Play, an organization that raises money to donate toys and games for children's hospitals. I think this ga...

Not really fun and very unfair 0

This game, a follow-up to Part III of Back to the Future, was developed by Probe Software and published by Arena Entertainment in 1991 for the Sega Genesis. The game was also released for the Sega Master System and various home computers. This game involves Marty McFly going to the old west and convincing Doc Brown, who has been living there for 6 months to come back to the future. At least this version actually represents the film way better than the NES version.Despite being a big step-up goin...

Is there anything good about this game? 0

This game follows the two sequel movies to the 1985 Back to the Future movie. In Part 2, Biff Tanner steals a sports almanac and brings it to 1955, creating an alternate dystopian future; Marty McFly must go around retrieving various items and bring them back to their correct time periods. In Part 3, Marty must go to the old west and convince Doc Brown, who has been living there for 6 months to come back to the future. This game barely follows the movie at all, except for the introduction sequenc...

Robert Louis Stevenson, you ruined our lives 0

Developed by Advance Communications Company and published by Toho in Japan, and Bandai in North America for the NES, this is a very unfortunate title, based on the famous Robert Louis Stevenson novella of 1886. But it obviously has nothing to do with the novel at all despite being based on it.So this is the plot: in Victorian London, Dr. Henry Jekyll makes a potion that has separated the good and evil aspects of his personality. He is also on his way to the church to marry Miss Millicent, but th...

Worse than Custer's last stand... 1

This game, the second from its developer after the infamous Custer's Revenge, currently has the fifth-to-lowest score for an Atari 2600 game on GameFAQs of 1.13 due to the fact that it was re-released in a bundle that came with another pornographic game, Lady in Wading, on some versions of the bundle the game also came with yet another game made by the same brand who made the game under the name of Bachelor Party. The mere idea of yet another porn game existing on the Atari 2600 of all consoles. ...

Custer's last day 'til shame. 1

The first porn-themed game under the Swedish Erotica banner, Custer's Revenge is an unlicensed adult-aimed action video game developed and published by Mystique for the Atari 2600, released in September 1982. In Europe, a video game publisher, PlayAround JHM, re-released this game with some alterations. On this version, the sexual intercourse was consensual. Similar to other Mystique games, it got a gender-reversed version called General Retreat where you could play as the Native American woman....

This should've ceased to exist as it was from none other than the Laughing Joking Numbnuts! 0

Based off the successful late 1980s film franchise, this game is one of the only two NES games to be considered some of the worst games of all time, with Friday the 13th being the other one. Once you get the hang of the controls, the game can actually be quite fun.So the plot is this: Marty McFly ends up in 1955 and must ensure that his parents get together, or else he will cease to exist. The main focus involves Marty walking nonstop a road to collect clocks to prevent a picture of him fading a...

Who needs originality when you can just rip off Zelda 2 on the NES? 0

What we got here is a complete rip-off of the second part of First Blood. The game borrows from Zelda II: The Adventure of Link and implements its mechanics haphazardly. The experience system is taken from Zelda II, which was released earlier that same year (1987) in Japan. It does follows the plot of First Blood Part II faithfully, for the most part. While at least the music is decent, the graphics and sprites are sub-par for its time. Rambo's side-scrolling sprite barely resembles his likelines...

Lethal Weapon it is not 0

I am a Die Hard and Lethal Weapon fan, and I also like First Blood, but I'm much more into Lethal Weapon TBH. I think A Good Day to Die Hard is the best film to complete this franchise. Live Free or Die Hard is not a Die Hard movie and it's a terrible movie. It did not gain popularity among anyone. It's garbage that has aged horribly all for the wrong reasons. And its PG-13 rating is a complete joke. I saw it back in 2011 when it first came out, and I didn't like it one single bit. Even worse, i...

It ain't a lovely day 0

This is a very poor adaptation of Mad Max 2. In fact not one person can tell if it follows either the first Mad Max, Road Warrior or Beyond Thunderdome because of how haphazardly mashed up elements of each movie are throughout the level. Well, this game is bad, there has been innovation on this game to be open-world genre, you can explore whatever they want while there has much lack on this game. It lacks a map, which, combined with the large levels, makes exploration much harder. There's only on...

Soon the hunt will never begin... 0

This game was hard-to-find for a reason. It is also one of several video game tie-ins for the original Predator film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The game cartridge is called "Predator" and the title says it is called "Predator: Soon The Hunt Will Begin" (the true title of the game), which is highly confusing when you're trying to see the title. So the game has the same premise as the movie: Alan "Dutch" Schaefer (whose sprite is completely pink, including his outfit) and his team of mercenari...

The worst TV-based DS garbage of all time 1

Everywhere I've gone online, I constantly see that Cory in the House is referred to as an "anime" (and it still is to this day), especially "the best anime" or "the greatest anime." On IMDB there are several 10-star reviews proving this. I still don't know or care why anyone called Cory in the House an "anime" but I think it's a terrible live-action American TV show, a stupid sitcom from Disney Channel. The acting was weak, the characters were annoying, the comedy wasn't funny at all, the specia...

Sixteen Times the Bugs 0

The worst reviewed game in the Fallout franchise, it serves as a "narrative prequel" to the entire Fallout franchise, taking place 25 years after the nuclear war that almost destroyed civilization. Most of the issues have now been fixed, as the game has fully improved thanks to several patches that saved the game's reception, so now it's not as bad as it used to be. This review is generally based on earlier versions.Development on a Fallout online game started at Bethesda Studios and Interplay P...

Even worse than Part 1... 0

If you've seen my review for the first part, you'll understand exactly the issues carried over to the second part, which, if anything, is even worse and extremely short (even more so than the previous game) at just under 3 hours long. It also cost $50 on release.Despite being able to play as various characters, they all play almost exactly the same and have the same selection of spells instead of being more powerful and drastically different.Heavy focus on Escort and Defense segments, where you ...

These games must be destroyed! Stupefy, stupefy, STUPEFY! 0

EA, is this because you do not know how to handle certain franchises, much like your even worse foreign cousin, Ubisoft? Or do you wish me to scoff at why you want us to challenge everything?Anyway, in this game, which is very short at about 4 hours in length, Harry, Ron, and Hermione start their quest to find the Horcruxes, which allows Lord Voldemort to maintain his immortality. You control Harry Potter in a third-person over-the-shoulder camera and is a third person shooter with cover system....

Now featuring inappropriately proportioned soldiers 0

I saw Battle: Los Angeles. I had been frequently seeing trailers for months for that movie, and I am glad it has now been released. Why? SO I'LL NEVER HAVE TO SEE THAT EVIL, WICKED TRAILER AGAIN. Seriously, in the first months of 2011 I had seen the Battle: Los Angeles trailer on almost all the several films I had seen at the time (such as Green Hornet). I saw the film in the cinema, and I left feeling lazy as though nothing happened. I also thought the film was a messy disaster, even from the s...

Very boring, short, repetitive shovelware 0

This has got to be one of the laziest franchises of all interactive media. Every game is virtually the same from gameplay to setting. That's especially the case here in Afghanistan. This game is also outdated since all American military forces are no longer prevalent in Afghanistan when the Taliban reemerged. In fact each and every single game looks very cheap and also outdated with this and Shattered Spear looking like an early PlayStation 2 game, which is especially egregious since both came o...

While the PC version was awesome, the same unfortunately cannot be said for the PS1 version 0

Really? You had to port this to the original PlayStation? Why? While the controls are decent, this is a porting disaster that cannot be considered one of the PS1 Greatest Hits. And apparently, it was very questionable to include itself on PlayStation Classic, and even worse that version has an error that basically makes it unplayable. At least it's the only Rainbow Six game before Rainbow Six 3 that shows the weapon being held in the player's hands. The graphics are hideous and terrible. No, real...

Wake up, CD Projekt! We have a game to fix. 0

Based on a board game franchise Cyberpunk created by Mike Pondsmith, Cyberpunk 2077 had awesome intent, but it was a complete mess all of a sudden. During the later part of its eight-year development cycle, the game has generated overwhelming hype among the gaming community, with CD Projekt releasing several promotional content and promised it to be "the next-gen open world experience". However, after a series of incidents and CD Projekt's internal problem, the game's release ended up to be one ...

V: very disappointing, violation of the franchise, and inaccurate as all hell 0

The sixteenth installment in the Battlefield series enters mankind's greatest conflict as the series goes back to its roots with a never-before-seen portrayal of World War II.While combat and sound design are still good, and the soundtrack is great, like previous entries in the series that is not 2042, the game takes place during World War II, but has an uninspired atmosphere and is incredibly inaccurate historical-wise, taking away the feeling of playing a WW2 game and in a way is even being ve...

It's our kind of battlefield 0

The fifteenth entry in series, and the fifth in the main series after Battlefield 4 really captures the image of WWI for the most part. It thankfully came out during a time when futuristic video games became kinda too prevalent, so it was really nice to have one about the First World War, especially considering that it's a really overlooked conflict when it comes to video games. But unfortunately that was during the worst time of the worst year ever.Whatever. With a bunch of interesting storylin...

Not our battlefield (again) 0

The ninth main installment on the Battlefield series and the 17th installment overall lacks a single-player campaign unlike the recent releases, so the lore is told through multiplayer. As stated in the title, Battlefield 2042 takes place in 2042, where the Earth is in a state of despair caused by global economies collapsing, the rising sea level, satellites shutting down, and increasing tensions between the United States and Russia.Just like Battlefield 4, the game was rushed heavily. Another year, another Call of Duty, this time Call of Duty: Vanguard... 0

The 18th main installment in the franchise and the 6th game to take place in World War II, Vanguard is about the creation of the first special operations task force that is made of four members, how they met to form the group, and their task to stop a threatening plan that the Nazis have under their sleeves.Thankfully, the game's size has been reduced compared to Modern Warfare (2019) and Black Ops Cold War. Simply the unlucky offspring of a company who, by any means necessary, has to release a new product every November 0

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War takes place in 1981, where U.S. President Ronald Reagan tasks CIA operatives Russell Adler, Alex Mason, and Frank Woods with hunting down Qasim Javadi and Arash Kadivar for their involvement in the Iran hostage crisis. After tracking the two down and capturing them, Arash reveals that Perseus, a Soviet spy, was the one who organized the crisis. Welcome to Dubai, gentlemen. 0

The tenth title of the Spec Ops series, and the first entry since Spec Ops: Airborne Commando in ten years, Spec Ops: The Line is an awesome adventure through Dubai. It has great graphics that accurately recreates the setting of Dubai and manages to make you feel like you're walking through a once vibrant city in ruin, and a great story about a Army squad going to look for survivors in Dubai that's been hit with a sandstorm only to find that it itself has become a war zone. Finally, a return to the present! 0

This game has been developed for three years (2016-2019) by Infinity Ward and Activision, with additional work by High Moon Studios, Beenox, Raven Software, and Sledgehammer Games. During that time Infinity Ward Poland rewritten the IW engine, which allows for new performance enhancements and better graphics such as more detailed environments and ray-tracing capabilities. A few animations are buggy, however, like some executions, and a few wall clips. For the first time in Call of Duty history, i...

Black Ops, not as the way we know it today. 0

On top of being yet another generic military shooter like the other Call of Duty games, Black Ops 4 now shoves in a battle royale mode called "Blackout" for the sake of chasing that same trend. The driving controls in blackout mode are terrible as you need to move the left analog stick up to accelerate and the right analog stick left or right to steer. The ending of Blackout mode, however, undoes the ending of the campaigns from Black Ops and Black Ops 2 by switching Mason and Woods' roles. Eve...

The first title in the series to be set primarily during World War II since Call of Duty: World at War in 2008, WWII is set in the European theatre, and is centered around a squad in the 1st Infantry Division, following their battles on the Western Front; the multiplayer expands to different fronts not seen in the campaign. With amazing photo-realistic graphics and decent voice acting (especially Turner), the game also removes regenerating health and goes back to basics with gameplay reminiscent...

Call of Duty: Buzz Lightyear Warfare! 0

The 13th installment of the Call of Duty franchise takes place even further into the future than some preceding titles that were already futuristic enough; this caused heavy criticism by critics and gamers alike. The futuristic setting, while good, it's rather unfitting to Call of Duty franchise. What's worse is that this game was released at a horrible time in a horrible year for what it is, Call of Duty fans like me were sick of futuristic Call of Duty at the time, and to add insult to injury ...
