Games I played in 2014

This year I feel I should keep track of games that I buy as well as games that I beat since there were some games I completely forgot about come GotY time.

List items

  • Weird game, fun, but weird. Also, fuck those snow frogs. Beaten January 4

  • Interesting game, I like the premise behind the world. Beaten January 27

  • Fuck. Ultra. Fishbunjin. 3000. Beaten January 28

  • So fucking dumb. If you are reading this, you should play it. Beaten February 8

  • Weird game, fun though. Beaten February 10

  • Interesting concept and great aesthetic. Too bad it is hampered by a shitty camera and a couple of control issues. Beaten February 12

  • Interesting story, did not expect the ending. Beaten February 14

  • Fun game, thought the ending is somewhat bittersweet. Beaten February 27

  • I was mostly interested in the story, but with the exception of some QTEs and the camera, the game was rather enjoyable. Not a great game, but decent. Beaten March 2

  • How this game managed to be only rated Mature is beyond me. Very fun game though. Beaten March 4

  • I am adding this game in this list because I just beat Dragonfall and it really feels like another game, even if it is just an add on. Dragonfall is a great campaign and I really enjoyed the story and where they went with it. Beaten March 19

  • I suck at typing and this game does an excellent job of highlighting that fact, fuck those timed sections with the double tapping. Beaten March 24

  • Other than the flying controls, I rather enjoyed this game. Even if it crashed the instant I chose "Finish Story" and cannot view that again. Beaten March 31

  • Fun little puzzle game. Beaten April 4

  • Heller is a really unlikable character, and I could have sworn that at the end of Prototype Mercer wanted to destroy the virus. Beaten April 5

  • Fun game, though I didn't care for enemies being able to see and walk through walls. Beaten April 8

  • I've had this game in my Steam backlog for about 3 years now, finally decided to finish it. Just a charming little game. Beaten April 16

  • Fuck this game. Beaten May 8

  • I actually quite liked the story in this game, yes the game itself didn't live up to the potential but it was still a fun game. Clara was probably my favorite character... Beaten May 31

  • Put this game down right before the last boss about 7 years ago. Played through it from the beginning and beat it July 14.

  • Finally got off my ass and finished the last tow episodes of this game, and while the final two episodes may not have been as great as episode three, this was a phenomenal game. I very much enjoyed it and it got me into reading the Fables comics. Beaten July 19

  • What a game, can't wait for the next installment. Episode 1 beaten July 29

  • Very enjoyable game, though towards the end, combat started to become a chore I had to slog through to get more narrative. And crazy me is going to play through it a second time to see if the ending changes. Beaten August 4

  • For the first couple hours, I loved this game. Then there were three separate points where I thought the game was over, and it wasn't. Beaten August 13

  • Fun puzzle game, though at a couple points I was just lost on what to do. A single hint put me back on track at those points though. Beaten September 13

  • Fun game, but holy shit that last level is hard. I don't think I will ever get a perfect on that level. Beaten September 16

  • Fun game. Beaten September 20

  • Interesting game, has a very creepy atmosphere in the beginning. Too bad the later sections are just too dark to really differentiate between objects. Beaten November 27

  • That tested my logic skills. Beaten November 29

  • Fun game, even if it did freeze on me at the end and not give me the achievement for beating the game. Beaten November 29

  • Don't know why I forgot to put this on this list, but I really enjoyed this game. Act I beaten January 25

  • This game is so fucking stupid. It's great. Beaten December 6

  • Decent enough game, though I hit a bug that won't allow me to finish Enigma's Most Wanted thing. Beaten December 9

  • Bought this based on the quicklook and playing the demo. Waiting the month for it to be released was nigh unbearable. Beaten December 13

  • Fun game, though the ending was a little bit of a let down (hello QTE.) Beaten December 17

  • Picked it up during the Steam sale and haven't beaten zone 3 yet. Damn good game, and a fucking awesome soundtrack.

  • I had a feeling this game didn't end all rosy. You know, this game could easily be mistaken as educational, not that I mind. Beautiful game though. Beaten December 24.

  • The LEGO games are my "comfort food;" they are not great games, and are often plagued by bugs and camera issues, but I enjoy them immensely. I am also a fan of Tolkien's books. Beaten December 25

  • Maybe it is because I had just 100%ed LEGO The Hobbit, but this game felt like a step back in quality. The controller support was questionable (I shouldn't have to manually map each button just to use my controller on PC when LEGO the Hobbit worked without me needing to even look at the controls,) the world hubs felt lifeless compared to The Hobbit's overworld, the camera is fucking horrendous. Beaten December 28.

  • Not sure whether or not I should actually include this since I have only beaten the first mission, but since that is the only real plot-important mission, I am including this here. Beaten December 20
