@shadow961: Even I have eliminated a whole team multiple times, just like he did in that video. And I've not spent any money. The stat boosts aren't as high as it looks like in that video.
I had a Twitch highlight, of me playing a Ben Pack made level in Super Mario Maker 2, partly muted. They claimed I played a Super Mario World related remix, which is fucking absurd since the artist used music and sounds from SMW. And also, I didn't play that remix. It was just music and sounds from the castle theme in SMW. I obviously appealed, but it just ended up as pending matter for all eternity. That's how fucking broken their system is.
I 100% understand why most people who show this game wouldn't, but I wish Vinny had walked up to the TV and shown the news. Mostly because of what it sounds like when they talk. It's just all gibberish, but it's gibberish in a Swedish accent and with the very same speech pattern I recognise from Swedish channel 2 news anchors. It's wild for me to hear that represented in such a goofy yet accurate way, and most people outside of Sweden probably wouldn't come close to vibing with it the way I do.
One thing about Teardown I love, but also most people probably won't notice, is the very specific thing with the news report on the TV. They are just speaking in gibberish with a Swedish accent, but with a very special touch which is the cadance(?)/speech pattern is the same as I remember it from watching the channel 2 news on Swedish public TV. I'd forgotten this was a game made by a small Swedish indie developer, but within 2 seconds of hearing that specific speech pattern I was reminded of that. I felt like I was a kid back in the 90's watching the 6 o'clock news.
I was excited to see Vinny and Brad, but Vinny introducing Abby to this wonderful, insane game is just as exciting! pumped to see Teardown, too, seems like just the open sandbox type game that Vinny excels at.
edit: also if you love stars what rotate around one another, you should read Three Body Trilogy!
Both Abby and Alex sat in on the unfinished they did last year.
Correction: @alex, you mentioned that No Man's Sky was released in 2015. This is not correct, although I can understand those two years getting mashed together in a way. No Man's Sky was as a matter of fact released in August 2016.
I remember this specifically because of two things.
1. This was was during the time when Dan visited the New York office while he was still stationed in SF. He was one of the most important people on the quick look for bringing up important questions such as "what would happen if the moon disappeared".
2. The first Beastcast after the release was the one when Austin made his first visit since leaving for Vice. This was a very memorable episode, with not only discussions about No Man's Sky, but also general science discussions and once again important Dan-questions that brought us all the way back to "the beginning".
after playing a bit of the demo, holy shit the humor sucks in this game.
The gameplay is pretty ok, but the "jokes" kill it for me.
also why are people acting like Hades invented greek mythology?
I'm not getting seeing anyone acting as if Supergiant invented Greek mythology with Hades, but rather they took the base concepts and made a way more interesting interpretation of Greek mythology that what has been seen in any game.
