I see a lot of people saying that a Google search on Merritt K doesn't show any suspicious results, but when I did a search just now I found a thread from August 2019 on Waypoints forum where she was mentioned.

Which brings me to wonder, how deep should one have to dig into the Google search results for it to count as enough research on a person you're about to invite onto your platform? I only got as far as the second page before I found that thread. I will admit I'm not a Google mastermind that knows exactly how Google's algorithms works, and that thread might have been pushed up a page or two because of this episode combined with whatever Google has stored on my interests in both Giant Bomb and Waypoint. But it still seems to me that that info wasn't buried that deep.

But then again I'm a person, that since I started using search engines back in the early 00's, usually makes sure to browse for at least a handful pages before I consider the research done.

Putting an editor's note on the site is not enough Abby. Mistakes happen but at least edit a visual/audio disclaimer onto the podcast. A note will not be seen by the majority of ppl who listen to this.....

Risk of Rain and Risk of Rain 2 are great games. Especially in co-op. I hope they stick to it, and maybe do some streams where they cooperate more and distribute items to each person's preference and needs.

For instance when I play as MUL-T, I like stack as much movement speed as possible to make his ramming ability stronger. But I might not need as many of armor upgrades, so I can let other people grab those. And also opening chests and buying items for each others when you got extra gold is also a key element of the co-op aspect.

Of course this requires a bit more familiarity with what some items do by just looking at them and reading their names, since the actual item tooltip doesn't show up until after you picked it up.

Alex talking about sloths reminded me of this gem created by a Swedish comedy group in the year of 2000.

Even if you don't understand Swedish, you can still understand most of what's going on. =D

Edit: Here's a direct translation from Swedish to English of the 20 second introduction:

"This is something as rare as a lazy salkow. An animal that in the wild is now only found on the island of Kauehi in the Pacific Ocean. This strange animal is mainly characterized by its extreme slowness, but also by its ability to develop strong grief in times of adversity. The favorite food consists of cucumber, which should preferably be fresh and sliced."

@toxicantidote: Would you recommend this for someone not very familiar with dota? Ive played auto chess....

Sure, it's a fun cooperative mode. Because you don't have to worry about an opposing team pushing towards a base, you can stop and plan between encounters. Of course being familiar with Dota is very beneficial since the heroes and items available are from the regular mode. But it's not impossible to play and learn without that knowledge.

@janman@benpack@brad If you're looking for a fun way to do something with Dota 2, may I suggest the current summer event Aghanim’s Labyrinth. In case you've not seen it yet, it's a 4 player cooperative roguelite dungeon crawler(?) with Dota characters. They've done some really neat stuff with the mode, such as gaining unique character specific boons between encounters and an in-between games tallent tree.

None of that toxic competitive stuff that the MOBA genre often is plagued with. Just some cooperative and challenging fun with friends. I bet it could be a fun feature to have on the site.

Mobile Legends is a very popular MOBA that's been around for some time. I've been playing it a bit for the past few days and it's alright for what it is, which is a MOBA that usually doesn't last as long as Dota or League of Legends.

A couple of years ago I started using blueberry jam on my peanut butter sandwiches. And last time I made one, which probably was about a year ago, I also added banana slices on top. It was delicious. I always prefer going for a more experimental approach than the already beaten path, which seems to be grape jelly in the case of PB&J.
