This is a terrible thing for Sony and it's customers. It's the sort of thing they may never be able to recover from. I consider the PS3 to be a superior product but  now that their infrastructure has been compromised I am really unsure if I will ever buy from them again. I don't hold any grudges but I also don't want to take any chances.

So I am a big fan of RE4. It's easily my favorite. If they can capture the magic of that game but improve upon the controls and add the ability to move/shoot at the same time I would be just fine with that. I really didn't even have problems with RE4's controls. I don't know how they managed to fuck it up so bad on RE5 maybe it is because the game was paced so much differently than RE4. I think the fact that they are releasing an HD version of RE4 says something.

" Wow, what a great debut for Patrick! Nice job and welcome aboard!

A question though,

"Activision doesn’t always seem to get the credit it deserves in terms of innovation in my opinion, but there is no short supply of it, even in our narrower slate,"

Activision is just a publisher, right? What could they innovate? Distribution? Selling Modern Warfare 2 on Games on Demand for $60?
"
I couldn't agree more. Also, just because they sold a lot of games doesn't mean they innovated on them much at all. Black Ops was a big disappointment for me in terms of innovation. The way they portrayed the game was that there would be a lot more customization then there really turned out to be. If it weren't for the new game modes (some of which are derived from counter strike and rainbow six) this would have just been modern warfare 2 with new paint. I feel that DICE has done much more in terms of innovation.

Why would anyone want this game to release early anyway let alone spend an extra $38 for a mere chance it will happen. You've got sucker written all over you if you did this. This game isn't worth the hype. It's a puzzle game. You beat it once then you are done. Sure it's got some challenging levels but this game can be beaten in such a short amount of time that you would have to be insane not to just wait for valve to lower the price to 10 bucks eventually during one of their sales. I am really not understanding the hype here. Maybe you are all praying like hell that HL2:E3 is magically in it?

I wouldn't really call the PC game industry "booming." Maybe the Blizzard market is booming, but that's about all. "
Yeah, maybe not booming but definitely healthy. I've read that Black Ops sold 200k units on PC in the first day. I guess my point is that hackers don't affect game sales enough for it to matter.

Call me crazy but it kinda looks like that world map screen shot is using the same texture set that they used in FFVI which is awesome!

Reptile's story was pretty disgusting but I feel like they dropped the ball with Baraka. I'm just not feeling that character this time around. I am really interested to see how they do sub zero in this more realistic tone but if they turn sub zero into a wannabe Mr. Freeze then lul.

lol same guy directing it that directed x-2 no wonder 13 was a flop even though we all bought it out of curiosity that doesn't mean the game was a success. Fire this guy. He has even said before that he wanted to direct movies but couldn't hack it and turned to the gaming biz. No wonder 13 feels like a movie that occasionally let's you play.
