1:22:15 - Did you know @danryckert, that washing your hands is a relatively new "invention"?
In 1846 a Dr. Ignaz Semmelweis noticed that a more women were dying in childbirth when being handled by medical students, than when being handled by midwife students. After trying various things he discovered that when students washed their hands with a chlorine solution, after handling corpses and before heading straight into delivery, the mortality rate of the patients dropped drastically.
At the time, the medical industry thought that the idea that the doctors would be the cause of death was offensive and preposterous, so when he persisted with his ideas of people washing their hands, but couldn't prove why it made a difference, he was eventually committed to an insane asylum where he was beaten to death by the guards.
It wasn't until some 50 years later when germs and viruses was discovered that people eventually got it in their head that hand washing was a pretty good idea after all.

Knowing that this would mean that I would be stationary for long periods of time I sent out a yelp to the only professionals I trusted at the time...that being the panel of The Hotspot. Luckily they ended up reading my letter a few days before I went under the knife, but their recommendations were

Needless to say, I went with Dead Rising. That said I recall next to nothing about the game on account of my medication. All I remember was that I failed the game thanks to me ignoring the mission and just killing zombies.
When I finally recovered I never played the game again. It had its purpose in a wonderful vacuum, and I never want to think of that game other than the hazy nightmare that I have always thought of it.
