Overview
Rabbits are known for having muscular rear legs that allow them to run fast and perform large jumps; as well as this, rabbits are known for having a high level of fertility. Like rodents, their teeth grow constantly and they need to gnaw on things to keep their teeth in check. However, contrary to popular belief, they are not actually rodents but lagomorphs.
Moreso than other types of vegetation, rabbits are stereotypically depicted as having an intense fondness for carrots. This idea originated with Bugs Bunny, who was first shown eating carrots as a reference to the film It Happened One Night (1934), in which Clark Gable does the same. Carrots are not part of a rabbit's natural diet, and their high sugar content may cause tooth decay if given too frequently.
In folklore, the Easter Bunny is said to bring eggs to children in celebration of Easter. A rabbit's foot is also considered a lucky charm in many cultures.
