I like the crew but I'm also missing Abby. Giant Bomb needs some new young blood to mix things up.

The original Crimson Skies on PC was so rad. Justified my Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro. Awesome Wing Commander style arcade air combat game with light sim elements and so much fun swashbuckling style. Seems like no one remembers it. I never played High Road To Revenge. It seemed like it was a worthy follow-up, but struck me as very simplistic by comparison.

Boy, there is just so much Warhammer 40K licensed shovelware.

I liked Mad TV more than SNL.

Gauntlet was basically Diablo x Fortnite. Some get on this quick.

Omg, Jan is killing it with the overlay and transitions and everything.

One thing EA can do before killing Anthem for good is unlock the framerate for PS5 gamers. Guess I'm spoiled now, but that 30fps gameplay with the bad frame pacing was hard to watch. And yeah, there was no saving that game like No Man Sky. Let Anthem rest in peace. I would say look forward to the new Mass Effect and Dragon Age... but... yeah...

Gauntlet Legends owned. That thing consumed at least 3 days of me and my friend's lives.

An opportune time for cataclysmic events in live service games are at the end of betas before the server gets wiped for public launch. With older MMORPGs you could usually expect to see some wacky shit in the remaining hours of closed beta (devs spawning endgame mobs, or playing as bosses in common areas, tanking a huge number of players attacking them, etc.) Ironically, I feel like those sorts of live managed/DMed events are vastly more memorable than anything that ends up shipping in the final game.

Seems like Jan also listens to Last Podcast on the Left with that Cockroach story :)

GW keeps making a million bad Warhammer games but refuses to make a 1 to 1 digital version of the tabletop :(

@vinny: As someone that used to play back in 3rd edition then stopped the new 40k 9th edition ruleset seems like a lot of fun to watch if nothing else, if you want condensed battle reports on games being played I highly recommend PlayOnTabletop on youtube.

Pretty sure that would be counter to their interests. They want people to go out and buy the physical miniatures and play in-person games, and while a digital version of the exact same game probably wouldn't impact the hobby in a negative way, there's an argument of "why do the same thing again?"

Also, these computer games can do things you can't do (as easily) in the physical world, and vice-versa.

Also #2, there are plenty of virtual-table-top apps and programs out there that allow you to legally play the exact same Warhammer format on PCs and mobile devices as you can in-person. (Vassal, War Table, Tabletop Simulator, etc.)

100%. his production flair is really selling these streams for me, and constantly reminds me why i prefer gb stuff over any other streamer content out there. it seems minor but it is THE differentiator.

Goonya Fighter sure looks like a former Roblox game brought onto a commercial game engine.

where does that "I... can't move!" line come from? I think about that once a day and I have never known why or where I picked it up.

@vinny Forza Horizon 4 has a "I'm streaming on Mixer" emote that you can spam when around others that obviously held up really well.

I bought that Gauntlet game when it came out, and everything about it was great except for the part where it was a Gauntlet game so it played like a Gauntlet game so it was trash. That's on me though, for buying a Gauntlet game.

It's from the Avengers arcade game, when a player character dies. Looking it up apparently the line is actually "I can't lose!" but most people mishear it as "move" because of the muddy sample.
