The bad/disappointed write ups on Apex Switch is a bummer. It didn't look too bad when Brad played it, but I was watching on a tiny window. Between Eurogamer and Nintendo World Report, the inconsistent frame rate and other performance issues have left a sour taste for the writers. On a whim, I already have it downloaded on my Switch. So I should get to messing around with it soon before deleting it after the novelty wears off.

Apex Legends being on Switch seems to be a Japan play on EA's part, what with all the vtubers steaming their play of the PC version. I'm curious if the Switch audience over there will tolerate the Switch port or not. The Switch has 18 million units sold in Japan last I checked. I guess if 5-10% buy a battle pass on the Switch version, EA's and Panic Button's efforts would have been worth it?

Panic Button does good work on Switch but Apex is just not meant for this system.

Man, watching Jeff play Crash is just a miserable time.

At least they finally looked at Going Under. It's a really neat, overlooked game; mostly because it came out really close to Hades and nobody even knew it existed.

Man, I am loving these Relaxed Friday streams. Too bad I can't catch them live, but I still watch day of. Everyone is great and Jan does such a good job on the technical side and doing the fantastic layouts as it goes. I appreciate moving things around as things pop up like the subtitles and inventory of the FMV game. Thanks for the great video guys, I hope you have a terrific weekend!

I have the Rez Infinite soundtrack on tape, but also, my friend puts all of his albums pretty much exclusively on tape. IDK where the new tape loving trend came from

oof I am not feeling that FMV game. The actors do not have the chops for a more serious tone. The part with the lady in the forest was some of the most high-school drama class-ass acting I've ever seen. I would be curious to see if the vibe of it evens out a little bit later but at first blush it's pretty rough.

You actually can't use Bluetooth headsets with the Switch without some sort of adapter and even then they always come with a separate mic you need to plug into the 3.5mm port to do voice chat. It doesn't work with the one on the headset.

I know it must be frustrating to have the technical issues, but it leads to some of the funniest moments ever. Please don’t let them stop you from trying new things!

That's a feature, not a bug. Nothing about what they were going for felt "serious" to me.

Apex seemed rough, but playable. There's been several other pretty rough Switch ports, but I'm kinda wondering if it's secretly targeting the upgraded Switch.

Watching FMV games is pretty boring to be honest. First time I skipped through a UPF.

@janman I have a signed picture of Dante Basco in his Rufio costume that says "I'm not Chinese!". He was not confused as to why a white guy from Pacifica/Daly City would ask for that but everyone else was.

Absolutely would love Vinny to do a full playthrough of Dark Side with Alex and someone else. Contradiction is one of my favorite pieces of content on the site.

Weird hearing Brad say ‘Ash’ during the Cochella discussion as a band that people (outside of the UK) would have heard of. Did they have any hits in the US? They were heavily featured on the Shaun of the Dead soundtrack around that time, as well as being on the Burnout 3 soundtrack, so I guess that may have led to a bit of success abroad?

Fun fact. I once saw Ash play in a converted public toilet.

Y'all joke, but the "Not So Late Show With Elmo" is pretty great. It's the perfect pre-bedtime show for the kiddos.

Elmo's character is also way better since HBO has taken over.

Huh, Alex knows of Grimsby. That's where I'm from. It's very grim. How on earth has Alex been exposed to Grimsby?!

It may not have been as revolutionary at the time but the original Crash Bandicoot holds up far better than Mario 64 these days. Fight me.

Would have been fun to see Brad play as Octane to see how bad he could really make the framerate look.
