I keep forgetting that these poor bastards don't have AC. I live in Texas and in the 90s we'll die without AC. 120s? Time to soak in a tub of luke warm water and cry.

I don't tell people the temp where I'm at in AZ to one-up them, I tell them because even after living here my whole life I still think it's wild and have to show other people and be like "this is fucking crazy right?"

Shoutout to Rorie for showing one of the biggest Horde fights in Days Gone. It also took me 5 or 6 tries before beating it. The key is managing your stamina bar. Once you get used to it, you can always remain a couple of steps ahead of them, because they are constantly falling over each other so you can always easily out run them without spending all your meter doing so. The thing is not to get trapped and boxed it, because in wide open spaces, they come at your from different angles.

I'm telling you guys, Days Gone is a good game. For people who blew it off on PS4, give it another chance on PS5 or a good PC.

I haven't wanted to play Days Gone until I saw Rorie go up against the horde. That ruled.

That Day's Gone horde fight in what I believe was the area shown in the game's first, big E3 presentation was fun to watch. It really helped me understand why fans of the game would like to see a sequel.

i REALLY like Days Gone on PC, specifically because of all the crazy mods on nexusmods/daysgone, you can remix and break that game into whatever zombie survival game you want and add more/remove things you like or don't- there's even a dev debug menu for spawning and all that good stuff. OH, and you can make the hordes 2,000 zeds big.

So... should I play Days Gone or Red Dead Redemption? Note, I don't actually like open world games and I only have those games due to PS+ and peer pressure. I tried playing RDR2 a year ago and literally fell asleep and rode into a tree after the first hour or so. I just need something to play between GG Strive sessions.

@av_gamer: you know, I chuckled at the leaden biker stuff and characters in Days Gone, but the more I watch it, the more I think the core mechanics of it (not the whole gas refilling thing) are really solid and that they could have gone even bigger and better with more power. It's a shame they didn't get a sequel.

Californians complaining about the heat while also refusing to get AC installed is nuts, and will only get nuttier as the world gets warmer. I know renters can only do so much, but Jeff owns his house.

I finished Days Gone and it was a huge surprise hit for me. It isn't high art, but it was a ton of fun to play.

Jan mentioned the Graduation/Curtis chart rivalry which is always so interesting to me, it represented such a sea change in the genre, things have not been the same since. And Graduation is still incredible
