Ryan actually reviewed the Britney game back when it came out. He mentions that the full game only had five songs, which seems like an impossibly low number. Still received a 6.9 from him, however.

@andythemez: Hah you're right, good eye. I can't imagine how many of these events Jeff has been to over the years, a lot of it must be a blur to him.

Gotta commend them on not blazing through everything and actually taking their time like older Demo Derbies. In the last handful of DDs they always sounded bored and uninterested in everything they saw.

The representation of that West 4th street basketball court was surprisingly accurate.

I mean the subway entrance is on the wrong side (which may have changed in the last two decades idk) but other than that it seemed like that court.

@msouza1991: I'm pretty sure the sidekick guy was Matthew Lillard too, but I can't find anything official about it. Just my ears.

Stuntman was a really cool idea, but I remember the load times just killed that game. Absolutely brutal.

Someone has to chart the rise and fall of the arcade racing game because about 50% of the games in demo discs of this era belong to that genre. It's kind of amazing.

I kinda think most of these games looked (graphically, at least) very good. Sled Storm is mega underrated, and Aphex Twin remains one of my favorite musicians. The long form Windowlicker video is just brilliant.

I enjoyed this Demo Derby. I wish it was a weekly feature.

The early Tweetie Bird that was a baby bird instead of a canary was amazing from the VIOLENCE.

Wow, I actually remember this demo disk. That Britney game was... an okay early Rhythm game, I guess. That Taz game was hard as shit though.

Straight vodka was one of the few types of drinks I can have. Bad memories somehow activate gag reflexes when every I drank rum, whiskey, gin, snapps to a lesser extent but the worse of the worse is tequila.

I looked up the kid who won the Virtua Fighter machine and I found him in about 2 seconds. He's really heavy into MMA; which I thought was appropriate.

Regarding singers doing Las Vegas residencies, usually they have a suite at the hotel that's included in the contract. Some buy or rent houses away from The Strip. Britney is paid $500k per show. Her last residency at Planet Hollywood was 248 shows over 4 years. She just signed for 2 more years with MGM. The Planet Hollywood show was one of the worst I've seen (I was sent to basically every show in the city for my last job). She would just dance over her songs. She wasn't actually singing or even lip syncing. They just hit play and she danced (and rather unenthusiastic on the night I was there).

Lot of rips on Elon Musk lately. More reasons to love GB.
