I'm pretty sure I've commented on it in years past, but I really dig that jazz/organ version of the Giant Bomb theme that serves as the year-end podcasts' intro and outro.

As a premium subscriber I don't need to see a commercial for premium subscription pop up constantly. Please remove that or give us premium versions of game of the year stuff.

@soulcake: I think they are still doing those but more in line with last year, i.e playing games and stuff. I don't think we can expect any elaborate filmed sketches or anything.

@wiseblood: Jeff and Brad addressed that in the "Seasons Greetings" video. They bumped up the deliberation videos three hours due to people asking for the change because it gives them more of a chance to listen/watch before real-life obligations kick in later in the day.

Apart from a select few elaborating on their thoughts and backing up their arguments, we are down to decisions on the grounds of, "I like, I don't like"?? What happened to the resonance and exciting passionate rethorics? Lack of frame of reference or just uncaring?

I've really come to appreciate Trackmania this year. The game is free, it easy to learn, hard to master and a lot of fun to do with a group.

It's also an amazing mix of multiplayer and singleplayer. You are experiencing the same trials & tribulations as the other people on the track, but at the same time, it's all about your own performance. That also makes it a very relaxing game. You never have to feel frustrated at other people for ruining your run. Your run is 100% your run. All the leaderboards are awesome as well. I might not be able to be the best player in the world, or my country, but province might be an attainable goal.

Abby's reaction to Dan's"sexy nurse" comment makes me feel like she'd be a perfect fit for Waypoint. ?

No joke, this discussion was a lot different than what we've seen in the past. It seems like a game is absolutely doomed if Abby hasn't personally gotten her hands on it. While it definitely comes down to a lack of frame of reference, after listening to the beastcast regularly you realize that its ultimately caused by a lack of care. I'm fine with people on the site having a specific niche, but its a bummer to see them bring that niche to the GOTY table in such an unrefined manner.

@player1: I concur. While not being obsessive about the crew constellation in regards of regular content, because I'm sure the new hires fall in someone's taste, I do, rightfully, expect a nuanced and just discussion, that doesn't caters to or exerts special consideration to crew members that obviously fall short in every category. This doesn't bode well and I foresee some mucking in the future if others like me, expect a minimum display of professionalism.
