Either way what happens to Brad here at the end perfectly illustrates why I stopped playing this game despite really loving the idea of it. Too little free time to see it suddenly sucked up like that with nothing to show for it.

This was such a great stream, too bad about those convicts but thats classic Dead Rising! At least you gained a bunch of levels! Also I cant wait to see you when you are a little further in the story :). Good to see Kent finally met his match!

I can watch Brad play Dead Rising for a long time for some reason. What a weird game.

I wasn't too particularly put off by the brevity of Inside, as I suppose I simply enjoyed it for what it was at the time with being a bit burned out on massive open world and intense multiplayer games. Looking back, I'd concede that perhaps it was just a bit too costly for the content. In terms of games that have gotten flack for being too short I'd have to say Superhot has been the one that most consistently comes up for me, in that I haven't gotten it and very much want to. I was interested leading up to its release, and given the fantastic coverage and experiences shown here on this site alone, including the GOTY pitches, I've been wanting to try it out. The only thing stopping me is the overwhelming reviews online, on steam, and from friends who have thoroughly enjoyed it but simply can't recommend it for the amount of content for more than $10.

That's a Japanese thing, it's meant to help convey the impact of an attack and is entirely on purpose. I like it personally, really gives you a sense of power when you do some huge attack that hits a ton of zombies but I could see why some people wouldn't like it.

I didn't know Alex was a character in Dead Rising.

I liked Last of Us a lot on hard but it was a bit of a PITA at times. I hope they double down on the scavenging, crafting and intensity in the next game.

@TechnoSyndrome: Dead Rising has HitStop? I don't think I ever noticed it. It only really made itself noticeable to me on Wind Waker, for some reason - they usually never bother me. Also, I don't think there's a wiki entry for it.

"The Expanse" is the best sci-fi show I've seen since the early seasons of BSG. Anyone should give it a chance until at least episode 4. If that one doesn't get your juices flowing, then you can probably move on. I'm beyond excited for the upcoming season.

They too thought it was an intended effect, but the original 360 version doesn't do it. It seems to be a bug.

@larmer: The 360 version absolutely has hitstun, it's just not as pronounced due to having half the framerate.

We use a Tobii-screen with a kid at work. He has cp so can only control his eyes.

Holden is definitely not in his fifties in the books. Steven Strait is slightly thinner (Earthers are recognizable due to the fact that they are pretty well fed) than Holden is in my head, but he isn't a grizzled older man. Miller definitely is and even though I like Tom Jane in the role a lot I think that's the character with the biggest disparity with his book counterpart.

@alistercat: it kinda makes sense. Generally I want to know what month something is happening on, then specifically the day, and the year is typically a given.

Watching Brad play Dead Rising is the BEST

@humanity: I disagree, but that would be down to personal preference. Outside of that, I prefer time to be formatted in the smallest to the largest so d/m/y makes most sense to me.
