@jeff If you want the flavor of original X-COM (as opposed to XCOM) with a slightly more streamlined and modernized style, I'd suggest Xenonauts. It was honestly a little too close to UFO Defense for my liking, but it does alright otherwise.

@luck702: I listen every week as well and I never picked up on it either. I love the passive aggressive jab though, cause that "never" gets old.

I'm pretty sure the "if anything will get people into this genre it will be [game]" of fighting games is Smash Bros. before it's Street Fighter. More people are inherently going to pay attention to a party game that can be played competitively than a fighting game that is a fighting game which can be played like a fighting game.

As someone who doesn't care about fighting games or japanese games this was a long and boring podcast.

@chicken008: Nah, ever since Ryan died and Vinny left I usually just listen to the beastcast. Just getting back into the Bombcast now. Still a shock :P

@squeakyshoeninja: Yeah, but I am not a native English speaker. So maybe that is why? Trying to apply my own language rules subconsciously to english words is maybe not the brightest idea.

In firewatch the boombox dissapears because the dude who's name i cant remember (the kid's father) stole it , you can find it in his lair near the end of the game. Made me feel REAL bad i threw it in the lake because it was all dissasembled and he was trying to fix it

I don't know if I've ever been less interested in a Bombcast segment than the Kanye West discussion. And yet, they still made it mildly interesting because it's the Bombcast. Everything about that story is crazy nonsense and I'm glad I don't care about that music because sounds like it'd be difficult to get access to it.

The story mode would be awesome....rocking late 60's-early 70's soundtrack, soldiers hooked on Heroin in the desert......rogue soldiers......fighting the NVA, Viet-Cong, AND corrupt SVA.......finish is off with a main character-native prostititue love affair /pregnancy and trying to get her back to America.

My wife and I got engaged on October 4, and were married on Dec 31. Getting everything pulled together was a challenge, but it can absolutely be done. It was a big wedding, with lots of people and a blowout of a reception. The trick is - don't second guess yourself. Too many brides-to-be (yes I'm stereotyping, but how many guys actually care about the details?) agonize over every single decision, when it's really not necessary. Make a decision, stick to it, and don't revisit it unless you have to.

(I will say, don't have an open bar in a downtown hotel lobby on New Year's Eve unless you have a ticket system in place. So many randos walked in, got a drink - or three, and either didn't care or didn't notice that a wedding reception was going on and they weren't invited.)
