I really don't care about Sony not showing indies anymore. I'm not super into 2d games or pixel art, which 90% of indie games are, and every game I've been disapointed with this generation was indie. So I'm good.

It's very strange for you guys to talk about the Mod banning in GTA when news came out days ago that Rockstar has already told T2 to fuck off. OpenIV is back and updating however as far as I know the taking down of MP hacking tools is still active (Thank god)

I can understand uploading a pre-recorded podcast but you should add notes to the podcast so you don't spread misinformation.

the cease and desists from take2 for the gta mods are about protecting the micro transaction market of their game, because you could just give players tens of millions of dollars in minutes, so people wouldn't be buying the shark cards for quick cash. they wiped everyone's in game cash that had any money from modding in it, as well.

Did anyone manage to finish Body Harvest? I don't know if I was too young at the time, but I remember it being balls hard. I think the second map was as far as I ever got.

As described by the creator, the original build of the game was centered around a histrionic view of feminism that hinged on very old & bad scaremongering talking points parroted frequently in quarters that do not think highly of women in general. It wasn't an incidental thing; it was the driving force behind the game's dystopia. The creator also identified in early promotion with a movement that has engaged in a great deal of aggressively misogynistic behavior, and he tried to recruit its mascot for use in the game. Even reading his explanation of what he claims as his current worldview in the Waypoint interview, his ideas about women and the world in general seem still to be rooted in internet forum BS (i.e. the weird stuff about women & pregnancy, plus his framing of the adjunct issues). I'm not saying he's incapable of change, but I don't think it's out of line to adopt a wait-and-see attitude.

@brad I finished Nier in 30h, got 5 main endings and >80% of weapons and a lot of the side missions. Ben's 80h seems strange to me

I remember that before the announcement video started where Jeff appeared on Gamespot to announce it, they were playing the NWO theme on the stream with an old picture of Jeff, which sadly got edited out of the archived version.

KotOR and KotOR II are, in my opinion, the two best games on the OG Xbox - heck, KotOR II's still in my top three GOAT list - buuuut I have to imagine getting the rights sorted out to rerelease them would be a huge pain in the arse, and there are already superior versions on PC. (Particularly for II, since the Restored Content patch/mod assuredly couldn't be part of an Xbox rerelease.)

I was too young to be following the games industry/community around games at the time, so hearing people talk about the N64 negatively always catches me off guard. It was my first console, and I loved it.

I didn't know it was possible to hear Lockdown in the wild. Now I really want to. I'm a proponent of E3 should be 90-100% Lockdown only since it's the only time of the year we get to hear it on the stream. Always bummed when they switch off of it during E3.

Only movie that my family and I walked out on was Bicentennial Man. At some point during the movie, my mom asked us if we were enjoying it, which we were not. So we left. Leaving a movie is such a weird feeling to me. Maybe because now I only go to movies I'm almost certain I will like to at least some degree.

The Uncharted demo where Drake fell through the floor was way worse than the idling issue.

I would love to see Ben's video of the guy going ballistic on the Burger Time sequel arcade machine.
