One correction, Tokido has won EVO twice before, once in 2002 for CVS2 and again in 2007 for Super Turbo. That said, this was the first EVO that Tokido won post-sf4.

Hey @unastrike, Tokido hadn't won SF4 but he had 2 Evo titles before this year, along with 3x second place finishes and a TON of other top eights. (I only remember 2 of his seconds, 2013 SF4 when he lost to Xian and then KOF in 2014 when he finished 2nd to Xaio Hai)

Team Brad, Team Twizzler here! I don't know how Ben can play Prey on the ps4. I had to sell my copy because it has the worst framepacing in a game that I can remember this past decade. I couldn't play it for more than 20 or so minutes at a time without having my eyes feel fucked up.

It's been like this for about a month and a half with no word of a fix from Arkane. Seeing as how lackluster it performed, I doubt it'll get fixed.

@opusofthemagnum: I think Brad was confused about that. From what I saw, all the twitter drama came after the streamer was banned for team killing.

Putting out graphics cards that are dedicated specifically for mining cryptocurrencies probably isn't going to fix the "run" on certain graphics cards like RX 470/480/570/580 and GTX 1070.

For one thing, removing video outputs from the card does not save much money or power. The GPU silicon and the VRAM are the same, and those represent the vast majority of the cost of producing a graphics card.

Also being able to re-sell your graphics cards back into the consumer market after mining stops being profitable is a big factor on your return on investment. If you buy ten cards at $300 each, but can sell them for $125 a year down the line when you are getting out, the effective price is much lower than a dedicated mining card which costs $250 but has almost no re-sale value once mining is no longer profitable.

Its also not true that the only way to be profitable mining Etherium is to steal power or get power for free. If that were true, I imagine a lot less people would be mining and it wouldn't have nearly as much impact on the graphics card market. At the electricity prices in my city, its currently possible to make back 5x the electricity cost.

I don't mine myself or necessarily support the endeavor, just trying to give some info.

Also being a Neo-Geo fan. Hearing that Arc and SNK were seen having lunch together is incredibly exciting for what fighter could evolve from that.

In Punk's defense he did send Tokido to losers and the run back is usually harder for the person that won initially.

Also, Tokido didn't just taunt Punk, he fucking combo'd off the taunt to take the round. Way more raw.

I ate fish & chips at the cinema (sold by the cinema) and it was literally the worst fish I've eaten in my life. Popcorn's the only trustworthy food.

I'm with Jeff on licorice in general being gross. The closest thing in that vein that I enjoy are sour straws though I pretty much enjoy most sour gummy snacks. I'm sick of popcorn at this point in my life, it's just not appetizing in the slightest. If I ever get popcorn I need to dump a bag of peanut M&Ms into it to make it even remotely filling.

A part of me loves the fact that an older dude won the SFV grand finals but I also hate it when shotokan-style characters win tournaments. Still Tokido was incredible to the end and it was a fun thing to watch even as someone who is very casual when it comes to FGE-sports. I even watched some of EVO live with a friend of mine who is mainly a KoF/MK guy and those final round matches piqued his interest on SF.

Just a heads up on that Tekken talk, Jack is considered mid to upper mid tier in the competitive scene.

The thing about him is that he probably has the best poking toolset in the game, and is relatively easy to use, but you have to have incredibly strong Tekken fundamentals to do well with him, which is part of why he isn't used very often.

If you go back and watch Saint play Jack, he really only uses a handful of moves in the neutral, and they're all relatively safe moves. Anakin on the other hand takes very big risks on some of his reads, mainly his usage of Debugger (that big spinning low punch) that lead to him taking a ton of damage when it was blocked, but also worked out for him fairly often.

Jack's flaws are that his sidestep is pretty gimp up close, and he's not particularly great at escaping up close pressure without making hard reads, which is far from the major flaws of the true bottom tier of Tekken 7 in Lucky Chloe, who has horrendous lows and is very punishable on almost all of her offense, and Gigas, who has both the worst sidestep and the worst backdash in the game.
