Quick Look: Batman: Arkham Knight

There it is...wasn't showing up on the main page so I had to go to the actual game's page. I don't know...this looks great to me, and we get barely any superhero games so its not like there's an overload.

I gotta say...that Joker stuff looks disappointing. Excited to play this game but I expected a bit more from this quick look, but that's just me.

It's disappointing all the past batman story references are lost with them. The gray ghost! Killing joke!

Oh my god, Jeff and Brad making references to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is just amazing.

I feel like I shouldn't watch this since I'm like 4 hours away from playing myself.

Yeah, I can wait. This will be a good break on Wednesday in between marathon sessions.

Regarding the Joker: Since he voiced him in Origins, I assume Troy Baker is doing it again.

Did a quick google search to see Wests' Batman. I'd say it's accurate enough to the real thing.

@lausebub: Not necessarily. They recast both Batman and Joker to give them a younger feel since it was a prequel. Conroy is back, so Hamill might be as well.

Watching this just kinda makes me want a good Superman game. Or a good Wonder-Woman game. Any DC hero that can fly honestly. Gimme dat.

2nd costume looks like Raiden Batman.

That Anime Batman costume is from one of the Gotham Knight shorts. Basically the Animatrix of Batman, a bunch of different directors telling their own isolated Batman stories, all unique art styles.

A lot of weird camera movements and hang ups in this game. Idk after watching this I'm not as hyped for it; maybe controlling the Batmobile is better than watching someone else do it.

It looks nice I guess....but I had severe Batman fatigue after completing Arkham Asylum and couldn't get into any subsequent Batman games because of it.

The vehicular combat with a bigass tank turret stills seems like the most un-Batman thing imaginable. Hearing Brad say the batmobile stuff takes up about 1/3 of the game is a huge turn-off.

Graphics seem very good though.

That is absolutely 100% Mark Hamill, easy way to tell is his signature rasp on words that end with "and".

Haven't touched a Batman game since Arkham City, so I will gladly get into another one of these. Its been a while for me so I could use more Batman in my life.

Only played a little bit so far but it seems great. There are some great details in police area and especially the evidence room. The different controls will take some getting used to though, I keep hitting the D-pad to select gadgets.

For a game where Joker is dead and gone, he sure is in it a lot. If he shows up and talks this frequently throughout the game is it possible there will be more lines from Joker in this than in any of the other Batman games? That would be a really weird choice in narrative story design.

Question: Is Batman still 105 feet tall in this one? Just want to make sure they aren't violating continuity.

Looks to me as if Joker is just a figment of Batman's sub conscience. I bet that's what it is.
