Dead Rising really isn't my thing, but I love the quick looks.

What's up with how he holds that rifle? It looks extremely awkward. 
 
The controls in this game look extremely clunky to me. And the concept of having to bring Zombrex to your daughter every day sounds more stressful than fun.

ugh. The concept is so awesome, but it has the same retarded annoyances as Dead Rising 1. Stupid shit like a gun "breaking" after 30 shots and frustrating boss fights. Ugh. If someone made a shameless ripoff but fixed these issues, I would be all over that.

Rented DR2, played 45 mins, and am bored as hell.  Can't wait 'till Lords Of Shadow and Medal Of Honor.  People that don't agree with me...sorry if you iz butthurtz.

My hand doesn't work due to recent surgery. Thus I must wait a week to play this game. I am a fan of the original. I enjoy the mechanics most people loathe. I enjoy camping in bathrooms. I also enjoy any object commonly referred to as 'the defiler'. Fuck my hand.

Well it makes sense that duct tape is an essential part of this game, it was made by Canadians after all.

I'm sure (or at least sure hope) it changes up at some point, but Fortune City sure does look like a mall.

I couldn't even watch this quick-look in its entirety... this game may be fun to mess around with all the costume and weapon-making possibilities, but it sure is repetitive and boring. Definite pass.
 
edit: the Cranberries talk in the beginning surprised me. I didn't even remember that band anymore. It was cool for a while though, with the first 3 albums. I even went to a concert with my back in the day girlfriend.

Game looks mad boring

Yeah, this Game is very enjoyable but also super frustrating.

Want to point something out here. This game is far better on the PC. As long as you have a good enough system it moves totally smoothly and the control scheme is way better. You can strafe while aiming and you can aim better (because a mouse and keyboard are a thousand times more accurate for shooters). Only issue is that multiplayer is a little bit empty at the moment. So go buy this on Steam and get playing you gamers you.

The only two things I know I will hate about Dead Rising 2 is how the clock is always ticking and how escort missions galore will be in the game. 
 
I would like a zombie game where you don't have someone you are trying to save and you are not trying to expose an evil corporation that is named after something that keeps you dry in the rain. All you would be trying to do is survive. If Dead Rising 2 lets Chuck abandon his daughter to save himself or the story still goes on that will make me want to buy the game more.
 
Why do my weapons break after I kill like ten zombies with them? I could understand a baseball breaking but not a gun or an axe. 

Damn, I want this game so bad after this QL... If only I had more money...

But if anyone wants more freedom from the clock, you can either: JUST KEEP PLAYING FOREVER, or you can join someone in co-op and just goof around. Co-op has surprised me more than it seemed it would.  
 
Unlike Jeff said, co-op is not just tacked on. It's very well done. Sure, there's no story progress for p2, but the way the whole system works, it's actually unnecessary (you still get credit for playing all story missions in co-op). Joining a game is very smooth, as is leaving a game or if the host drops, you still get to save. They thought of everything to make this work well. This ain't no Lost Planet 2. 
 
Speaking of sequels, don't compare this to Crackdown 2. Dead Rising 2 is much improved in every way compared to its predecessor, something I can't say for Crackdown 2.

I'm glad Capcom stayed faithful to the original. Fuck the haters, go play Modern Warfare 2...

Remember that one of Dead Rising's mechanics is that is requires multiple playthroughs.  You aren't supposed to be able to beat all the Psychos when you are level 14.  They are much easier when you are level 40+.
