Perhaps I wasn't using the best examples.  But the point being that games in the west will sell regardless of the origin, as long as it's a good game.  Be that Final Fantasy, Persona or even something that would typically be seen as very Japanese such as Katamari Demacy.
  Where as in Japan Western games aren't given the ilght of day, regardless of their quality or content.

Yes, forum "mouth-breathers" may unfairly attack a lot of Japanese RPG's, but calling them "shit" isn't the same as applying an actual label to every game that comes out of Japan.

Please show me a case where a Japanese developed military shooter DID sell well. Actually, don't because they sell like crap too.

And what genre do Western developers like to churn out?hmmmm....what about WRPG? surely Japan's nefarious developers have made a copycat franchise of its style, which sells millions!

Youge doesn't mean crap.  It's a label they apply to Western games that essentially means crap, like how we refer to something as a FPS or RTS, they have one specifically to say that it's a western game and therefore bad.  I'm sure it's use is somewhat limited to nerds, but again, my point is that the bias between cultures isn't one way.

Kind of annoying that they picked what is clearly the worst part of this game for the quick look... But if all the dungeons are that repetitve I don't see how even 'crazy book magic' could make this game's combat fun.

Looks kinda bland. 
I have a feeling that it's aiming for an artsy look, but things like the beating up of boxes to get a map and a key feels unfinished and uncreative. I think I'll pass this game...

That was pretty boring.
