Thursday Night Throwdown: 01/26/12

Man, I remember spending hours playing the 3D0 Road Rash demo on my friend's 3D0 in middle school. The weird art is oddly comforting to me. Also, where's Twisted!: The Game Show? That thing is a goddamn dynamite gold mine worth of FMVs. The multiplayer is actually sort of fun too. :D

I died inside about 5 times (from trying to stifle my laughter while at work) when they booted up NFS, the 3DO insanity version.

I feel reverence for the first 2 Road Rash games on the Mega Drive (Genesis). This one (which I played on the PSX) I just have some fond memories of =)

I remember those Need for speed videos and I was so excited to see them xD, but I don't remember that guy (I guess nobody remembers that guy). I never got what was up with those Road Rash caricatures they don't have anything to do with the game :D.

The Saturn versions of those NFS and Road Rash games were much better.

The 3DO was for people who had the money for the NeoGeo but not the common sense.

As a huge fan of classical music, this game is quite endearing. Don't understand why more games don't use classical music, like Holst and Mozart, to embellish their games. It's cheaper and more effective than any computer-made music ever could be.

I always loved this TNT... I had to re-watch it just now to remember just how awesome it was.

When the 3DO came out, I thought it would talk over the world... re-watching this makes me glad it didn't.

Easily the best TNT ever. I fucking miss these days so much, everyone looks so young too, despite this only being 3 years old.
