Thursday Night Throwdown: 09/06/12

Okay so now I want to buy DJ Hero 1 and 2.

I was able to pick up the first DJ Hero and Turntable for like $20. I thought it would just be kind of stupid fun with some friends. Really amazed how much I enjoyed it.

I think that mix is great, but otherwise I agree. The original Midnight is an awesome track. Lots of late night drives spent listening to that song.

Vinny is the Tricaster Ninja (TM).

Those quick shots of the Olympic games characters spazzing out during songs were hilarious. As was the cola battle during the Tag Team mix.

Some weird info: in the infamous Penguin Smith TNT (05/09/11), at the 82 minute mark, someone in the chat suggests playing DJ Hero 2.

I bought the Dj Hero 2 turntable bundle and Dj Hero 1 disc all together from Target on clearance for 15 bucks about a year ago. To this day I still haven't opened either of those things and continues to collect dust somewhere in my house, maybe its time to break it out?

Yo, I heard there were some Butt Problems in this TNT; C/D?

I don't like the new video player. It has buffering issues and the overall video quality in fullscreen mode is pretty bad. Definitely not HD.

Just bought DJ Hero 2 based off this TNT. The soundtrack sounds way more 'party friendly than the' first DJ Hero.

I'm not really a fan of pop music, so that was kinda boring. oh well, they can't all be winners.

@snorge: If you don't mind me asking, what settings do you have set before you hit play? I always use Progressive and I never have problems, I just let the video load about halfway before starting. Just a tip from a duder to a duder.

Jeff mentioned that he was on some G4 stuff for a week... was this in recent years or back when he was at Gamespot?

@cbarnes86: I usually set it to streaming because sometimes I like to scrub through the video and I don't want to wait until the whole thing is loaded. But I can see that the progressive option could eliminate the buffering problem. My main complaint though is about the video resolution. On an HD monitor in fullscreen mode it looks very pixelated. The 720p option on the YouTube videos produces a much nicer quality. But thank you duder, for your hint regarding the buffering issue. I appreciate it! :)

Jeff and Ryan, one WOULD, in fact, be able to get the DLC for the Wii version.

Blue Monday is probably my favourite song ever. That mash up with Pon De Floor kinda killed it though.

That "who would you like to see as a DJ" question was real dumb, and Jeff still managed to answer it with a perfect answer.

Fuuuuck, these games were (are) great. DJ Hero 3 has to happen some day.

Man it sucks they never show people actually playing with the controllers. It would be a lot more interesting to see then cropped shots of people's faces the whole show. I also realize how late I am to comment on this. I just got my subscription recently.
