Uhm, I was 100% sure the GB website said this would happen 3 hours later than it actually did...Oh well, I can atleast watch this.

That dude from BioWare thinks he lives in a world where MMOs from 15+ years ago didn't already do the "online shared space shared weather" stuff.

It sounded so out of touch. If your game is truly special you shouldn't need to lie about its achievements.

Glad that the video quality on the archive is better than it was on the stream. During the stream it seemed that the high and low qualities were showing the same.

Unfortunately, the audio still sounds a bit rough on this one...

EA just won E3. Absolutely electrifying conference.

The best part about Anthem having a release date is that maybe we'll get some Dragon Age news next year.

You know, after a good E3 presentation i can see the people working on it standing behind the curtains and being psyched about having put on a show. With EA it always feels like they have to scrape by whatever they have going and then find the positive points that they can cling on to. We don't have any surprises, but at least Unraveled 2 is out today! We don't have much to show on Anthem, but at least you can play a C&C themed Clash Royale today! Like the most interesting announcement to me is that you can play madden on PC. I have never played Madden nor follow the NFL. Nah wait, that new indie game could be neat!

Fifa has the Champions League licence now. In the game, this probably means that you will hear the tune before games and they actually get to use the logo & name in the menu's and on the banners. But they did that Journey storymode in the last 2 games. Wouldn't that be the most meaningful place to place the champions league licence in? Perhaps it will happen, but we have no info on the game apart from 'we got that CL licence boys'. Even the trailer stepped away from the Journey storyline and starred real players instead. Now i don't need a deep dive on Fifa, but i feel like they did a bad job showing why getting the CL licence is a huge thing for them. Showing fans that the Journey mode is still a thing and that the Champions League is part of that story would make it instantly meaningful.

I just feel like that was the case with a lot of those games. A lot of vapid & vague talk while giving the least amount of concrete information. Icelandic lady was hyped for her country at the world cup. Anthem people wants you to have fun, because fun is good. And you get to have fun , by feeling like a superhero. You get to play in a team to do team based missions. Pretty much what we gathered last year. It's just all real dissapointing to me. The indies were the most concrete and decent showings of the show.

@nach0sanchez: there was a link in the schedule list that tells you when the conference starts in your time zone, it said 4pm for me when it actually started at 2pm. I think that’s where the confusion is happening.

Mother of God, what a waste of time this conference was. I actually don't feel like watching the rest of E3 after this snoozefest.

Poor Andrew Wilson. Dude seems super collected and on top of his shit, but I can't help but laugh along with the robot jokes.

Anthem just looks so dull. The fights never looked very dynamic, the flight is really slow for something with jets shooting in every direction, and the environment, while pretty, isn't terribly interesting looking. I'm not saying it needs to play like Armored Core, but everything about the gameplay seems so humdrum. It has no pizzazz. The way they were showing it didn't help at all either. No crappy bioware romances is a definite plus, though.

The rest of the press conference was terribly boring too. Sea of Solitude was the most interesting thing shown. I prefer the nervous, passionate game devs presenting compared to scripted corporate speak.

I remember watching that e3 prep bens lens and now all I have to do is look at this thumbnail and say with sarcasm "yeah Jason, maybe you should have brought another light lol..."

I keep hoping mobile Command and Conquer is a bad fever dream, but... its real, isn't it. :(

Sea of Solitude looks so good. It probably won't, but I hope it comes out on the Switch

This conference was ok, probably the least bored I have been watching an EA presser for as long as I can remember. A lot of that has to do with them not having a big old sports block, that I have no interest in, that brings the whole thing to a halt. At least it was broken up a bit here. Same goes for a segment that spends a bit too much time showing a new Sims expansion or similar. Not dissing the Sims, just don't need it at an E3 press conference. Andrea Rene did a good job hosting too, much better then what they went with last year.

Never been a Battlefield guy and the WW2 setting really does nothing for me, even though the game looks gorgeous. Unravel 2 and Sea of Solitude didn't get me going either. Unravel 2 looks significantly better than the first but I don't know if I want to play a co-op game solo, just don't know enough about Sea of Solitude to form an opinion at this stage. I love me some C&C, but not on a mobile. The alpha is on Android now so I will probably check it out anyway.

The only thing out of all that was shown that has me excited is Anthem... even though I think it was a pretty poor showing. I agree with Jeff that the parts of the segment were in the wrong order and showing looping footage/screenshots and the way the gameplay was cut has me worried.

Very surprised that they didn't announce Skate 3 HD/Skate 4, a new Burnout or something along those lines. They really had no big "one more thing" to show that would get people talking or work as a sort of make good for the fans.

Pretty lucky here in Australia to have Monday as a public holiday, and I am taking Tuesday off so can watch everything live for the first time this year... not really expecting any bombshells from anyone this year but hopefully there will be some surprises :)

Steam quality was really bad. I am guessing it might have to do with the internet at the hotel. I had to pull up gspot on my other screen. The guys were great as always but the audio was all over the place. I think they will get it right for Microsoft.

Definitely a "if you are a fan of the genre you will enjoy this game" type of conference. Care not for sport sims, BF has been meh to me since BC2, Star Wars BF is what it is, Unraveled and Sea look neat, Anthem looks like a quest driven-numbers flying-loot shooter (which could be very well made and fun and I know I would probably like but does not excite me)...

@johnymyko: Yeah. I get that it's them talking "over" the conferences, but their voices were so loud even they missed a bunch of stuff talking over it. Hope they adjust the mix a bit for the rest of them.

I really thought this was the year that Skate was coming back. I would even be happy with Skate 2 BC because that map was great too. The Berrics "Make EA Skate Again" Insta account went silent awhile back, I had hoped it was because they started working together on a new title.

I would just like to request a better camera up-close shot of that chalk board. Lot of interesting stuff going on back there but with both cameras directed to either side, and nothing right down the middle (where all the drawing actually is!) its impossible to make out what anyones written.

Come on GB crew, get a camera on that in some form please! #Weed3 was one of the best parts of last year.

EA just feels completely out of touch with their audience. They spend too much time on the wrong things and not enough on the right ones. BFV got waaay to little attention, sports too much. Also talking while showing concept art is just a horrific way to show of your games. Show don't tell, nobody told EA.

The idea that they are trying to get us excited that they don't have loot boxes is hilarious. "Hey guys we tried to nickel and dime you before but now we heard you didn't like it"

Lotta stuff here not for me, but the Sea of Solitude preamble and footage were fantastic.

Get the same feeling every year after watching EA's conference in that they would be way better off with a shorter or Direct-like event. They run into the same problems every year of too much padding and having to hold back on their major stuff because of Microsoft's and Sony's conferences.

Ubisoft has similar problems but rarely to the degree EA does every year.

Conference audio is really low / GB guys are up way too high. Can't find a good balance.

I really liked the Sea of Solitude presentation. That game looks right up my alley style-wise. I'm curious what the gameplay will be like. It looks like some kind of action/adventure game, but will there be combat? Puzzles? Or will it mostly be platforming with story?

i hope Battlefield Royale does not mean people will be bullet sponges like in Fortnite. i have always liked the 1 headshot, 2-3 bodyshots TTK in battlefield
