@NekuSakuraba: In the past you've been able to complete objectives after the day is over, so I assume it's the case here as well.

Steam is pretty slow, but that is to be expected. Makes it take awhile to update the thread though.

I don't know if it has to do with the new quest system or just plain server overload, but it appears that all the games I had bought for gifting for Christmas are now missing. Puts me in a bit of a bind...

They are supposed to place your prize in your inventory... but it looks like the inventory system is royally f**ked up right now so I'd just wait like a hour or so.

Ohh boy, today has some things I want. Probably gonna get portal 2 and metro 2033, not sure about just cause 2. I might wait on the last one and get Amnesia for more brother for christmas, it should work on his computer and he expressed interest in it after day 9 played some of it.

Last steam sale I bought like 2 games, less than $10 the hole time. I might break that today alone.

Metro 2033 is pretty linear isn't it? Cuz I already have two stalker games to play and if it's open world too I might just get orcs must die and wait to get metro in the future.

Steam is pretty unusable right know. Get 503 errors all the time. Metro is probably the only game I will buy today.

Am I the only one that actively does not want to win the entire Steam catalogue? To me that kind of seems awful. Yes, I would get the games I want, but I would also over 1000 other games that I don't give a shit about clogging up my game library and getting in the way of games that I'm actually interested in playing =|

The big question is whether you would have to pay taxes on those games. If so, you're looking at tens of thousands of dollars (guess).

I still haven't been able to see what I've gotten in my inventory :(

I have my steam library organised; all the un-installed games are sectioned off on their own so I wouldn't have much trouble navigating my library...I can only hope to win.

With that said I think I'd rather just win the gifts that give you games and coupons, instead of placing myself in a draw I have little chance of winning.

Yeah it was like this during the Summer sale as well, but I don't think it was quite this bad.

Steam is completely broken right now. I have tried accessing my inventory for almost an hour now.

So today my sister gave me my first pre-paid card.

Finally! I was able to buy Metro 2033, good god that took a while, convinced me not to buy the Sam and Max stuff though, so it's all good.

Phew... Just got an email from Steam and the games were added to my library. I guess it was the lag that caused for the games not to appear in my library.

Still can't look at the great gift pile

Let me tell you about Dota 2.

Do you want to play the WC3 version of Dota with prettier graphics? Then this game is what you want.

Do you want ANY meaningful changes from the WC3 version? Then you should play HoN or LoL or something else. This game is DotA-ass DotA. With everything good and bad about that.

And let me tell you, the people are the same. This is hands-down THE worst community on the internet. You think Xbox Live is bad? They have nothing on some of these people. Just be prepared.

Also in particular the interface has a lot of stuff not completed yet. No tutorials, no help, private game lobbies work EXACTLY like WC3, it is unclear if matchmaking takes any skill into account (it probably does), etc. This beta is a beta which is actually kind of refreshing in a way.

So if you are still interested after all of that, the game is actually still great. I mean WC3 DotA is still fun today for these reasons, so this game which is basically the same should also be fun. And it totally is! Get some friends (or make some) and matchmake together and the pub-stomping fun times can roll. Just know what you are getting into.

Bought Fable TLC and Fable 3... it was one of those RPG's like two worlds 2 where i was like.... eh... i'll get it if it's lower than 15$.

I already have all I care about for today's sales except Portal 2 so I got that and only that. I'm gonna be checking every day but I'm pretty sure I won't get anything else.

I think that I just got Singularity for free thanks to the busted-ass servers...I guess that's worth something.
