So it has begun. What are you going to get? What do you recommend?
It's only now started and it's a bit janky and broken still, but I think I saw Super Meat Boy for 3,50. If that's correct, then I'll buy it, no doubt.

Steam X-mas sales
Meat Boy is definitely 3.50 right now, through the store page. Though I'm waiting for the special page to come back up before buying it.
My debit card isn't a huge fan of tons of tiny transactions in a small amount of time.
" Bad Company 2 worth 7 bucks? Is the online community still strong? "I imagine so with the expansion just coming out.

For 7$ I bet there are going to be a lot of new players.
Jesus 1,000 things on sale, I don't have time to look through these let alone play them
EDIT: quick request, any games you guys talk about here drop the price too.
- BFBC2 is awesome at £7
- don't bother with Ghost Master 59p
- Super Meat Boy £3. worth it?
- Evil Genius £1 excellent Dungeon Keeper knock off
Get Super Fucking Meat Boy! And PB Winterbottom. And... and... Well, I don't know what else is on sale yet. Steam's storefront is kind of a mess right now.
" @KaosAngel said:What about people who (like me) bought the game for 360, sold it when it seemed like there wouldn't be much new (free) content coming out, then thought about buying it for PC? I've heard the DLC is free for the PC version, is that true?" Bad Company 2 worth 7 bucks? Is the online community still strong? "I imagine so with the expansion just coming out. "
" Was Last Remnant any good? "Yes and no. On one hand, the PC version made several improvements to the de-facto beta that was released on the 360 (fuck you Square Enix!) such as allowing you to play with all of the unique units instead of just 5-6 at a time, you don't have to worry about permanent death, and there is a cool feeling of being able to command a whole army instead of just individual units. Also, there are talking shrimp-people with large axes, which is cool in its own way. On the other hand, the equipment and customization options are low, the game's AI often chooses for you what attacks/items/magic can be used instead of letting you choose the list, and the story is nothing you haven't heard before. On top of that, Rush is the most goddamned annoying generic JRPG protagonist in recent memory (being voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch does not help) and you have to use him all the fucking time when there are better characters around him.
For $20? I guess it's worth it, but only if you really like RPGs.
Thank you, Steam. Thank you for making me happy I only have $5 in my bank account and my latest paycheck is in my wallet. It is safe from your.. awesome, awesome deals. Man, I would've spent $70 already if I could.
Same here. Three holds have been placed on my card this holiday season already." Meat Boy is definitely 3.50 right now, through the store page. Yeah, normally everything is very smooth, but during the holidays their servers get smashed." Oh the jank. Took me 4 attempts to buy Super Meat Boy. Then it magically works. 1st steam purchase ever. "
Some really great stuff is on sale, but I have most of what I want from today's deals and the rest of the stuff isn't at prices I quite want. I'm still excited to see what goes on sale over the next week or so..
VALVE COMPLETE PACK £15
EVERYONE PURCHASE!
sorry about the caps but that's the single best deal of the sale
An Excellent List for your consideration :)

I shall be getting Super Meat Boy...it looks like a blast to play and challenging games are a win in my book.
Already bought Bad Company 2 and my finger is feathering the trigger on buying Mount and Blade: Warband. It will be purchased before the day ends >.>
God, this Steam sale looks mental. My face literally looked like my avatar's expression when I loaded it up.
Oddboxx purchased! Been waiting ages for that. I had and completed Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus on the PC originally, but never got to play Munch's Oddysee or Stranger's Wrath. I remember when they announced Munch's Oddysee for the PS2 at first, then changed it to an Xbox exclusive. I was gutted back then, but at least now I get to play it. And with Steam achievements!
The Odddboxx (that's all 4 of the Oddworld games) is out people! For half price too! After so much waiting and a surprise release it was such a pleasant discovery upon booting up steam. That's what i've bought so far. It's just the beginning of the spending madness i feel, like a tickle in your throat you just know is gonna develop into a full blown cold.
