Overview
Initially developed for 7DFPS in 2013 by a team of 10, Superhot is an experimental first person shooter where time only passes when the player moves. The player faces groups of pistol-wielding agents; by moving carefully, the player can plan engagements and dodge bullets.
Three short episodes are available to play on the web through the Unity web player.
In June 2014, Superhot Games launched a successful Kickstarter for Superhot, raising $250,798, more than doubling their $100K goal. This success hit several stretch goals, namely: an additional 3D animator for the project; a built-in speedrun mode; a replay mode that shows what happened in 'real time'; and a new game plus mode.
The final version of the game was released in February 2016 for PC, Mac, Linux, and in May 2016 for Xbox One.
