    Surgeon Simulator

Game » consists of 4 releases. Released Apr 19, 2013

A parody of the popular "Simulator" series of games depicting realistic takes on generally boring careers, Surgeon Simulator is a wildly unrealistic depiction of kidney, heart, and brain surgery where the primary challenge comes from the game's deliberately awkward controls.

    Short summary describing this game.

    Overview

Surgeon Simulator 2013 first started out as a Global Game Jam entree made in only 48 hours. After the game went viral the developers decided to make a full version of the game, adding more levels and releasing it on Steam.

    Levels

There are three types of operations: Heart transplant, Kidney transplant, and Brain transplant. Each of these levels has an Ambulance variant where players perform surgery on Bob in the back of a speeding vehicle. After both variations of the main three operations are all completed, a secret level, wherein the player operates on an alien patient with a completely inhuman anatomy, will be unlocked that can be accessed by inserting the floppy disk titled "???" into the computer.

    Playstation 4 Anniversary Edition

An updated version of the game came out on Aug. 12, 2014 on the Playstation 4 with the subtitle: A & E Anniversary Edition. It includes 10+ surgeries to perform, which contain all the previous and hidden levels. The game has been made to take advantage of the DualShock 4 controller by using the motion sensor to manipulate the arm of the surgeon. There is a co-op mode scheduled to be released on August 27th, 2014 which will allow 2 players to perform the same surgery with each person controlling an arm of the surgeon.

    Nintendo Switch CPR Edition

In 2018, Bossa Studios released a port for the Nintendo Switch with the subtitle: CPR. In this particular case, CPR stands for Cooperative Play Ready as the port includes a special local cooperative mode.
